The original anime is much better aesthetically, the settings and photography in general are beautiful. Even the background scenes of common moments stand out due to the detail they show. Something that the original anime did much better is the way they use landscapes to highlight the fact that they are traveling, and it gives you that feeling of loneliness and melancholy, which is a reflection of Holo's feelings. A question that the remake has not really achieved. In my opinion, the remake tried to give the story a more cheerful and cute aura. Something that really doesn't quite fit with the story, and that the original anime did know how to represent, such as the loneliness, sadness and mystique of Holo.

While there are certainly problematic elements that will turn off some people, it is an incredible journey :D Also Second Season isn't the second part you watch, so care if you ever return to the series. A quick Google result will give you a viewing order

@@Helnolya something else I just discovered today, Sock Senpai has two videos spanning just shy of 3 hours that covers ~70% of the series or so. He breaks down the basic plot of each arc as well as some of the nuances that go into each narrative beat. If the problematic elements of the story dissuade you from continuing his breakdowns skip 99% of them. Part 2 video dropped just today so the conclusive 3 video will be on its way. But I'm happy to have provided any info if you've found it helpful :)

As somebody who has been into anime from a very young age, Lady Oscar has something unique hard to find in other animes, something hard to describe but pierce the heart of those who found its beauty… I watched a lot of anime, of all kind, but this one is by far my Favorite… thanks for the edit and that specific OST is my favorite of the anime
