Humtown uses a furan binder process.

where can i learn how to make these molds. what classes would i take at school?

This would be mechanical engineering, but focused on sand casting.. The Excellence Training Center at Youngstown State University in Youngstown, Ohio has great opportunities in this field.

Mark i really appreciated the way you ran this company. Your concept on how to run a company is something i have never came across in my life! I seriously think you and your wife almost everyday. I live in toledo ohio now and i only wish i could witness this concept in a company again. S.m.i.b brother and thank you for the opportunity to work at such a great place. Psa. Awesome stuff. Just a question with your example of $500,000 for tooling and 24 week turnaround. In regards to switching to 3D printing you stated 2 week turnaround but didn't state a comparative cost. What would that cost be?

Every project is different but on this particular one we saved the customer almost 70% using printed molds and cores versus cutting hard tooling! Please send us your project and we’ll be happy to quote.
