Your are driving to fast, slower the better. When you approach a pot hole raise the teeth and slowly drag the material you have built up into the hole

ABI makes several versions of Driveway graders that u can use behind atv’s and lawnmowers. They have videos on KZfaq tat show how each works and explains it pretty good. The graders they have actually outperform the DR. After a year of trying to decide on a grader for my atv I bought a TR3e for my subcompact tractor and have been happy ever since!

Yeah, 8 years later I still use it in the fall and in the spring. I generally have to wait for a decent rain, but it's really helped keep the driveway nice.

You mentioned that you have a tractor, do you have a box blade with teeth? This grader looks like a toy compared to a heavy box blade towed behind a tractor.

Sorry I missed this. I do have a 35hp tractor with a box blade. The problem I've found is the teeth are too large and wide. It ends up pulling up some of the base rock. I actually bought this after deciding the box blade wasn't cutting it. Too blunt an instrument for me to wield, maybe. But 8 years later I still use this in the spring and fall and it's kept the driveway nice.

haha I was 6 when my dad made this video. The rhino is still running awesome but has had quite a bit more use now that I can reach the gas and break.

honestly you do not want dryer, i water the you know what out of the roads and driveways I do. I could see the dust in the camera, means you are no where near wet enough. If you do get it to wet you just need to work it more. you need the fines and the gravel to come to top. the fines bind the gravel and hold everything together. But hey it looks good.

I run a real motor grader. does the dr allow you to put a crown in you road? Also I noticed that you need to do more than just the driveway. T he shoulders are higher than the road or driveway itself. you need to pull the shoulders in at 5% seed it and let it grow. Then use the excess material pulled in from your high shoulder to put a 3% crown in your road or driveway. Also a pothole will never go away unless you cut underneath or below it. As well as keeping the road damp and then rolling it in with your vehicle as soon as your done. If you have clumps its not always that it is to wet, it just needs to be worked more. You cant cover a pothole it will just come back, have to cut under it. hope this helps.

Yes. Mine started very bad and that was the first run ever. Now I just do it in the Spring and Fall, and don't have to do it nearly as long. But it pull up so much gravel that it gives it a look that isn't quite perfect. Once driven over several times it ends up nice and flat. My driveway today is better than it has ever been. Gets a little better each time, it seems.

I saw some washboard effect in your driveway after you graded it a bit. Does that smooth out nice and flat? That is what I am trying to get rid of in my dirt driveway.

I wish I knew the exact number, but I'd guess it is around 2 inches, assuming the ground isn't so hard that you have to scrape a lot. For most potholes, you will simply be going over it and over it until you get down to the bottom. I generally put on music and end up going up and down the driveway at least 5 times. most of the driveway is good with 2 passes, but the potholes demand more.

Your Potholes will keep coming back. You need a narrow Scarifier Attachment to dig through the bottom of those. Then clean out the hole and rebuild that spot, starting with a layer of 3" rock, then a layer of #2 gravel and finally cover-grade with your DR and the existing gravel on your drive. Remember to create a crown on the drive for proper drainage or the standing water will start the potholes again. My 1/8 mile drive has been pothole free and I have only had to edge it twice in 12 years.

I just ordered one and I am so excited to get it!! I've been using a grading blade on my 1/4 mile driveway and it doesn't do the trick and I spend HOURS out there! One pass with the DR Power Grader and it seems it did more in your video than hours with the blade. Very impressive and can't wait to get it and get the road fixed once and for all!! Thank you for posting the video!

From what I have heard, keeping the key fob near the grader is a bad idea when not in use because they "talk" to each other and it drains the battery. If you have a new battery and you know it is charged, I think it is time to call up customer service. I found them to be very good to deal with.

According to what I have heard, you need to keep the remote far enough away from the battery when it isn't in use, or it will "communicate" with the device enough to drain the battery. I just unhook it when it isn't used. But I also recognize that a new battery will be in my future.

I have the 60" Dr Power Grader and I like it a lot. It will bring up gravel that you never thought you had from underneath. The only bad thing I've experienced with the grader is the Battery. It doesn't take a good charge and is very unreliable.

So if you were to make it a regular maint. item of once a couple of weeks then few passes might be needed . After all you have not added any more gravel , and are still using only 35 lbs of ballastt pretty good work .

Well done on the before tour . You really do have a lot of driveway to maintain so the DR should get a good work out. Seems the ATV pulls it very easy.

My dog is completely back to normal, but she was only about a year old when she got it. The vet said she could completely recover, or she could have problems walking for a long time. Sorry to hear about your dog.
