I found this after just making my own walking stick (and video) for my dad, I really like your style, you got a new subscriber here 😁 What’s the reason for the abrasive paste? It’s not something I’ve heard about before.
@TheWoodgineerАй бұрын
Awesome and thanks! Abrasive paste is my go to finishing sandpaper substitute now past 320 grit or so especially with odd shaped stuff. It gets into all the nooks and holes, doesn't generate saw dust in the air and also adds a bit of a finish oil (its got mineral oil and wax in it usually)

@@TheWoodgineer Excellent thanks for the advice, I’ll definitely try that out 👍

I use mine for only holding wood to be cut for the log burner. I went to local blacksmith and for £20 they made me larger metal holders and fitted them with non slip nuts n bolts. Works a treat.
@TheWoodgineerАй бұрын
Brilliant. I've got the small log jaws Triton provide but could do with some bigger ones. I've since bolted down the unit to the floor since I did this video and it really makes a difference to stability.
@RichkillАй бұрын
You showed the new battery where it has 3 thick notches. Your old charger has 4 thin notches. Does new and old batteries/tools/chargers work in all possible configurations? This can be pretty important considering worx does unofficially work in other brands.
@mrjohnnylongsleeves4128Ай бұрын
The support arms on the side work well as a carrying handle when they’re folded up.
@TheWoodgineerАй бұрын
I've used them for this though carefully as I worry they could slip out.

I have not turned for several years. I am searching for a lathe here in Uganda that won't break the bank. I have also been looking at the different turning tools on the market. After watching your video I think I'll try the carbide trio. Thanks for the comparison you did. Expensive is not always best.
@TheWoodgineerАй бұрын
Thanks for watching! I've since switched to easy wood tools but honestly, they are only a tiny bit better for the money I still recommend carbides like these to new/rusty turners.

I've been putting off getting a Kreg pocket hole jig because I just hate all that plastic. I bought the Kreg Accu-Cut and it works okay but the sled for the saw is this flimsy plastic thing that I paid a lot of money for. I won't make that same mistake again with a pocket hole jig.
@TheWoodgineer3 ай бұрын
Completely agree though I should say the Kreg is a good jig still, that plastic is fairly hard wearing. I'd never go back though after using this.

I absolutely love this saw. I use it for SO many projects. Birdhouses to Planters and so much more. Love the clampdown or holddown bar. Works great. Love that I can cut up to an 8 inch wide board. I have been a Worx customer for probably more than 20 years. Ever since I got the 18 Volt string trimmer which still works albeit an adaptor and lithium battery now. I lost count of how many Worx products I have. I can also say I LOVE my 40 Volt 21" self-propelled mower, 40 V String trimmer and the Brush cutting attachment. Also the 40 V Leaf Jet, Awesome machine and all the drills, 18 gauge nailer, Switch Saw, Switch drill, stapler and so much more. Most of my stuff is old but still works well.

Thanks for watching! I love it too and most of my gardening/DIY tools are Worx :)

Good spot. It is listed as 13 LPM on their documentation however I think this is a misprint and they meant 13CFM!
