The main advantage of the apartments on the ground floor is that they are close to the earth's magnetic field, which is necessary for our health and is especially lacking for people who work all day in the office on the 35th floor, for example!

I lived in the Back Bay for many years and no place like it. My dream, of course, is to have the entire townhouse but this would certainly be a close second. Gorgeous. Zillow tells us it sold for 5,100, 000

The only issue with these townhouse conversions is your neighbor. The floors and ceilings are not soundproof to the extent you would wish for in a multi million dollar apt. All it takes is one rich butthead that likes to stomp around or play the stereo at high levels at odd hours.

@K Baker Im so sorry. Ive lived in apts my whole life (a long one) and I finally came upon these memory foam ear plugs that are a Godsend. There are many types but the ones that look like sort of a strange bowling pin with a flat end work great and even the sound that gets thru is manageable. Sold at Walgreens and my Kroger store and on Ebay.

This house is absolutely beautiful! Great taste, colors, style, peaceful, lovely place to live. I was suprized to see how big is this town house! Beacon Street is charming. It's like Crescent Street in Montréal, same architecture (but Boston is far more expensive).
