as a casual player that hasnt tried the game yet steel, blue and green is the ones im mostly attracted to artwise...purple is cool tho but more dark vibe i fell...i think i will experiment w purple and steel deck and blue and green deck for now...

I get not playing the game anymore because of topku, but it was literally the same thing in set 1 with green broly and gohan. There’s many tools in set 2 to counter topku, players just haven’t adapted yet the set hasn’t been out for 3 weeks

The leader needs an errata but bandai doesn't do that and they don't typically move fast on bans. I mean it took them 3 sets for beard but they were faster with saka only 2 sets. I hope they ask the question how much are we going to be able to sell of set 3 if they don't have to build a new deck because this deck is currently just more powerful then anything else we can print. Also blue does kind of worry me, I don't like decks that play with the cost of cards, seems like a dangerous hill to start rolling down.

Dont get me wrong, Top goku is a huge problem, but its unfortunate we cant see the decklists of players who didnt top, since we cant know for sure if its because the deck is fundamentaly broken, or people just didnt try hard enough to counter it.

You hit the nail on the end, Bandai does not learn from past mistakes. This also confirms my theory about Masters the past 3-4 years too that they do not properly test their game when designing sets. If they did test their game properly, or if they bother to learn from past mistakes, this would not be happening again. I'm so happy I didn't go to NC now after seeing the results from The Lookout earlier, I wanted to play Cell but I will wait for now.

Same here, Blew too much money to build Cell and revamp Broly, and now seeing just how toxic Topku is, I just lost all will to play Fusion anymore in paper, and in the client until a hit or ban is brought forth. As in the PC client, all it will be is Topku every match and boring as all hell.

I think Cell has more flexibility than people give him credit for. Tbh you can just give up on arena and 8 cost cell entirely and play a 6 energy midrange deck. The 18 that plays a 17 from drop is kinda like a mini kefla self awaner, you can play the future gohan that plays and protects an 3 cost 16 blocker for free all the while controling the board with big bang attacks or even restanding your energy with instant kamehameha into cells activate main.

seems sorta bad when the meta is punishing lower costed cards when going against blue and red. I can see the idea, however kinda defeats the purpose of playing green. I'd like to see a list and some results

@@StageZeroTCG Well you would be running a decent amount of 6 costs and the point would be to use a green deck that doesnt instantly lose to topku. Of course it wouldnt have explosive late game other green decks have, but it being the only green leader can play midrange is something to consider for sure.

@@StageZeroTCG The deck is built explicitly to beat topku. Big bang attack is a huge counter into red 17 and restanding energy with instant kamehameha every turn combined with 18 (that plays an 17 from drop) provides insane amounts of pressure in the midgame. If you dont believe it, try it for yourself and reach a conclusion then.

Need some advice how do i beat beerus with top goku, going for a tournament this sunday, and thats one of the matter i m worrying about. Early crits, board removal, seems hard tho

use your own early crits using caulifila, take the early damage and focus on self awakening using roshi, try building a board before they awaken and start swinging as they awaken. kato + Gohan helps with your own board removal, but try playing around the 5 cost Beerus.

If they are awakened start applying pressure to their face the goal is to keep cards in hand and end it with ribrianne and glimpse and before they are awakened clear board you want them to dump cards out of their hand to protect. That's the strategy I use seems to work for me I haven't lost a locals yet with topku lol

I do think he could be favorable into TOPku (so could StarterKu?) so that could help him. But beerus and TOPku are in a league of their own compared to U7/Starterku
