Found this via your website, which I found via stumbling across some of your fb short videos. (Have since subscribed to your newsletter!) These are such interesting collections of artwork, and seems such an amazing way of exploring your interests. The second I saw that leaf it ignited my trauma. I think that is what is called PTSD. Any gardeners that can relate???

It does take a bit of practice but its fairly straightforward 🙂 all the materials I use are listed here www.impressionsofnature.co.uk/materials they are water washable so it does come off...

That pause, looking up through the canopy was beautiful - thank you for that. It was almost hypnotic... The bluebell woods were also wonderful - I can't get over how it went on and on and that last camera pan emphasised the breadth of their spread - pretty glorious to be there in person I would think!

Thank you, I am so glad you liked it! It was pretty remarkable, I was down there again today but now the bluebells have gone over and it is different again... the green of the fresh leaves was so vivid without the balance of the blue...

these are lovely! how do your lines appear so clean and clear? is it the type of leaves/flowers or how hard you push the roller on them?

thank you, I think because I am always so focused on the detail, I concentrate on getting that balance of ink and pressure just right and its why I print with my hands mostly so that I can be particularly sensitive... I hope that makes sense.

I love listening to the birds. Here in my garden in New Zealand, I find early morning is the best time. Just recently, a pair of turtle doves has started calling my garden home, which is lovely.

Hi, i did hear a year or two ago that they wanted to do opencast Lithium mining in Cornwall as its needed in battery and is a rare earth element, the plan was turned down at the time if its true, would be sacrilege to do that in Cornwall. could feel the wind there 😆

Yes I am not particularly for any of it as generally a few people profit greatly and everyone else just have to live with the noise of the constant drilling etc but that’s quite a selfish view 🙈

Lovely to join you on your walk up Carn Brea! I did an internship with the Groundwork Trust in Redruth and they were working on making the Mineral Tramways accessible at the time (about 30 years ago). Hope to see more of it on your next walks. Thank you for sharing!

I enjoy these flip throughs so mush - it's so inspiring and they show the value of drawing and painting a subject over and over. Do you mind telling what type of paper you use? It looks like it takes the paint very well!

Thank you very much. The paper is just Cartridge paper 170 gsm to 220gsm and I am using acrylic paint 🙂

It was amazing, it was like scraping back the time... we found so many interesting things from 5000 years ago right up to present day, showing that it had been a place of meeting and gathering for as long as it stood.
