weird, cuz as a HUGE PJ fan, I think that Riot Act is as good as ANYTHING...& Id say that Binaural & Backspacer although still DAMN good are by far the least of their albums?

@deemegz6 Agree completely (they are my favorite band so I'm biased) but Riot Act was their only slight, and very slight, let down for me. The rest of the albums have been steller. I only wish my "unemployable" ass had enough money to make it to PJ20. I'm sad that I missed that.

@horrorflesh But most of dylan's songs and writings weren't based off of personal experiences either, they were mainly from the books he read and many of his lines and ideas were taken directly from passages of novels. He was only original because he was the first to really put them into songs. Not sure if the same can be said for young as I haven't really listened to a whole lot of his music.

if anyone feels that pearl jam has 'fallen off' then you just gave up. everything up to binaural was great. riot act was a bit of a let down but has some good songs. then their self titled album was tremendous and their latest 1 was pretty good. pearl jam=one of the greatest rock bands of all time!!!

@AlexWolfking I think Ten is that good, because all the instrumental parts were already written before Eddie Vedder joined the band. Vedder wrote some lyrics and placed it somewhere between the composition. A totally different way of writing an album. I wouldn't mind if Vedder got kicked out of the band for a year and rejoined to find out the compositions had already been made and just neede lyrics.
