This isna good idea, but what if the pencil keeps falling ? How do I fix the pencil inside the extender ?
Ай бұрын
To fix these issues, you can add extra paper in the whole so the pencil fits snuggly. Or add a layer of glue to so that there’s friction between the pencil and the paper, to prevent it from slipping out

this is such a cosy vibe <3 also I have similar watercolours to you, the circle packaging I've always thought was so cool!

Not sure if it’s related but all the pics you liked were on the left and the ones you weren’t so fond of were in the right. It might be the paper?
Ай бұрын
Ooh that’s an interesting observation! I didn’t realise the ones I liked were all on the left side of the sketchbook (which is the side I despise drawing on 🤣)

Your art’s gorgeous. I’m still trying to work out watercolour and pencils. I have gouache but I just look at it. It’s in the to do list.

Ай бұрын
You can do it! 🙌☺️ It’s such a fun and versatile medium that I feel that there isn’t really a right or wrong way to use it. It’s more about learning to use it in such a way that it gives you your desired effect/look
@tabbyg22

This is such a true process with learning new techniques/mediums, as an artist we really are learning to be comfortable with failure. The more an artist is comfortable with failure the more they succeed, which in turn helps them to accept/trust the process of learning
Ай бұрын
I absolutely agree! It’s not so pleasant to sit with that failure but it’s necessary 🙌

Do you use Lyra pencils often? What about Faber Castell Polychromos? I have both but love Lyra the most. Not sure why exactly. They just feel nicer for me when I use them.
Ай бұрын
I haven’t used Faber Castel Polychromos, but I do use Lyra pencils often for sketching. They’re not as soft as Prismacolor Premiers (which is a competitive of the Polychromos) I really enjoy the Lyra more for sketching, but the Prismacolors are better for colouring in my opinion. You can get really good pigmentation on the Prismacolor Premiers ☺️

Woah- this is actually a really cool and unique form of content! If I could add any constructive feedback I’d suggest maintaining a flow of story telling. The water color drawing seems like the main story as it’s in the middle- the swatches of watercolor match the theme but the cooking video at the top, while very aesthetic, seems oddly out of place. However I think this style is very fascinating. Imagine if you kept the video of cooking and changed the subjects of your watercolor painting to be whatever you cooked instead? Or in some way tied all three videos to maintain this narrative? Regardless I love this and I will subscribe!❤
