Thank you so much, I did not understand how the fitting worked into the master and what part I would need - I am so appreciative that you demonstrated that for us that are fumbling our way through restorations and upgrades.

Hey great video! I'm looking for a factory muffler/tailpipe assembly like the one you removed from your IROC. I see that you have Illinois plate. How close to the Chicago area are you? Thanks, Charlie.

It’s such a night and day difference. I would be lying if I said I haven’t been thinking about a full engine, trans and rear end swap from a 98-02 into my 89.

@@davidbright1489 that’s awesome! I think you’re gonna love the way your 3rd gen feels with LS power in it. I haven’t dynod my car yet, but I’m realistically thinking I have 350 rwhp. I think your airbox should support it.

I’d be monitoring how much oil you get at that intake AN fitting. The rocker cover normally vents back up that hose towards the intake coming off high revs. Most people have a catch can in that line, and usually a breather instead of the intake connection.
@jembuildz
@jembuildz 2 ай бұрын
@@jasonlill2020 I’ve actually switched the line from the catch can since I did this video. The catch can line now runs to the 3/8 input on the sniper and the brake booster line runs to the 3/8 input on the intake.

What is the recommended clearance 1/16" or .016"? You kept saying 1/16 but the feeler gauge you used was .016. 1/16 is .0625". That puts you much tighter (.047) than recommended. If there is expansion when it heats up, the fingers could touch enough to wear out the throughout bearing.
@jembuildz
@jembuildz 6 ай бұрын
I double checked the instructions from Howe Racing and it is 1/16 (.06) +/- 1/32 (.03). If I did use the wrong gauge I must have got lucky cuz it shifts and work’s beautifully lol. Thanks for watching!
