thank you for this tutorial! question, if you need to change something like you did in this video. Do you need an entirely different card or can you erase what you have on the card and rewrite over it? Hopefully that makes sense lol

@@Djbdeiker Absolutely makes perfect sense!. The cards are completely rewritable so you can write new links or URLs on there in the future if you want. You can also KEEP the link to the vcard on NFC card that was made by vcard.link and change any details online without having to rewrite the card again. So If the card is maybe out with a client or something you can still change the details online.

I made one to toggle the flash light. In the back of my wallet, on both sides, I have 2 tags, 1 goes to Rick Astley an 1 goes to the Purge sound. Remember that whole problem with had for a while about people freaking out thinking that people were scanning your wallet for info and stuff? That comes up instead LMAO. Depends on what sie you scan lol

I don't know if it is possible, but maybe you know:. Suppose I create an application on my phone , and I want the app to check an RFID (or any other tag) to check any rfid Is it possible that the app checks this without momentary permission (so automaticcly check when reading an RFID, if it has anything todo with the app), or do you always need the users permission in that moment? I assume that if this is possible you give the app permission to check all RFIDs that are offered to the phone, which sounds unsafe, but also sounds kinda handy. Does anyone know what the permissions logic is on andriod/Ios systems?

This should work. If you're using an iPhone there is a different method to use for loading contacts onto your card. I will make a video about this soon!

Hey man sorry only getting to many comments now. There is a risk of this if they know what they're doing with NFC Tags however, you can actually lock a tag using a password. When you want to write to it again you can unlock it with the app and write again to it. This can all be done in NFCTools

Hi Bren 🌞 Fantastic video and also I would like to see discussions that take great care in providing the ability to use NFC/RFID processes with a smartphone while maintaining full send receive data security on the phone... As someone like you would well know, any good hacker or social engineer will endlessly scan for open NFC ports on a smartphone, a tablet or laptop or even drive by hoping to find an NFC port unit plugged into a PC usually through a USB port... These days there are a huge number of people driving around and scanning They go through the rich neighborhoods the middle class if such a thing still exists and now they're going even into the poor areas especially near buildings like mine that have eight floors of people most of whom don't have the Vegas idea of what cell phone security should involve...

Hi Alex that's a great point! With tools like the Flipper combined with IOT electronics like the ESP32 and NFC Boards for it. It's become a cyper security nightmare out there! I think I might put together a video that caters towards best practises around the security of NFC devices and scenarios to avoid! Thanks for the feedback man! 🙏🏻

It doesn't work for me. The NFC Tools app is able to read the NFC tag but the iPhone itself doesn't ask to join the network like you saw in the video.
