Hey there, I know I’m a year late to this but alas, better late than never. I have the chance to get one of these for a pretty reasonable price. I’m looking for an amp to replace my Orange Crush 12, and I mainly play like Tool, Metallica, stuff like that, but I’d be using it as a bedroom amp, is it able to suit well for those kind of sounds without being cranked all the way up?

I might have a go at making one of those.

Hey man great demo. I have an opportunity get one of these at a great price… but I’m wondering, would this be too loud for playing at home? Or can the master volume help with that?

I just picked up a DSL40 after trading in a bunch of gear that I wasn't using. My only real gripe is that the 4 channels don't have their own EQ's. In that regard, this amp really fits the bill. It might be too much amp for me though. I've seen it at $1999 at some of the online retailers, so it is considerably less expensive than its MESA competitors, and others. Money is tight for me too, so maybe one day. In the meantime, I am digging my first tube amp. Everytime I plug in, it's hard to believe the difference in sound.

Do you use footswitch for reverb?

Is that the original neck? Because I have a GIO like this and it does not have bindings

Just bought one for my Sire S7 FM Blue for the bridge position. Needs that little bit more of the umph that's lacking in the factory pickup. I get your preference, I started with an Ibanez JS1000BTB but my tastes change depending on my mood. Don't limit yourself ;)

It’s literally a humbucker just in a single coil size but the key is making sure you’re running it with a 500k pot. And then it’s literally a metal machine.

You’re right, it made my Marshall creamy and less aggressive. It also removed the bite and high end that I so desire in my Marshall. My solution was…..I bought a smaller Marshall.

I did not expect it to sound that heavy. Have one on the way Im gonna try in the middle
