Hi Dave, it's best the ask this question to the manufacturer of the battery pack since they would know the most about the battery pack's characteristics. If this is a Tenergy 8.4V battery pack please reach out to our team at [email protected] with your battery pack information and we can help provide you with the ideal charging voltage.

@@TheTenergybattery i mean what is the voltage on fully charged 8.4v nimh?? a 7.4v lipo is 8.4v at full charge. and a 11.1v lipo is 12.6 at full charge so does the voltage of nimh and nicad go up at full charge? this charger is the first one i ever had with a screen and did not touch a nimh pack for years back then my reedy quasar did not have screen.. batt was done when warm lol

Can I use nimh in smoke detector and how last long?
@TheTenergybattery16 күн бұрын
NiMH will likely work, but the run time won't compare to alkaline or lithium 9 volt batteries. Also, a NiMH in a smoke detector will likely need to be recharged frequently throughout the year. Feel free to reach out to use direct at [email protected] if you're looking for suggestions on which 9V batter is ideal for a smoke detector.

When doing a "balance" charge on this charger at 1/3 C (5A for 15000mAh [4S3P] cells), they are as much as 10% different from each other when done, as measured with your Cell Balancer and another cell checker I have. This seems like it could easily damage the battery packs over time and might even be a fire risk. Is this within specifications, or is my TB6B faulty? Thanks.

@@TheTenergybattery I was thinking maybe the balancing rate cant keep up with the charging rate - I don't know. I should probably be using a higher power charger for these batteries anyway. Either way, thanks for following up.

I recently purchased a box of Tenergy Centura batteries and plan to use some in solar lights outside the house. What do you recommend to extend the life of these batteries? Should I remove them in the winter months (New England winters are long cold days, with many days under 32°F)
@TheTenergybattery29 күн бұрын
We would actually suggest you reconsider the Centura and instead swap them for our Solla batteries which are designed for solar lights which work in -4°F to 122°F degrees. Your main challenge in the winter will be keeping the batteries charged so that they don't overdrain. During the winter there is already less light, and with cloudy days or snow the solar light might not make enough power to recharge the batteries. If you're having running into a week of no sunlight due to weather, we suggest taking the batteries out and recharging it on a NiMH/NiCd charger to prevent over-draining it.

Hallo can i charge 20 battery from a 24 v 10 ah pack in serie? Thanks
@shanejohns7901Ай бұрын
There is a difference of about a whole 0.2 volt between the NiMH and Li-ion. 2x3.7 volts = 7.4 volts. While 6x1.2 volts = 7.2 volts. There's probably something in that clock that oscillates (quartz crystal or such) at a specific known frequency given a specific known voltage. And 7.2 and 7.4 volts probably produce a frequency of oscillation a bit slower than that of a true fully-charged 9v battery that is actually producing 9 actual volts.

Is completely discharging Ni-MH batteries before recharging them a good or bad thing?
@TheTenergybatteryАй бұрын
Discharging a Ni-Mh battery before recharging it is fine, just remember to not leave an empty battery inside a device or it can over-discharge which is not good for the battery.

@@TheTenergybattery Thanks for the answer but let me explain better because I didn't explain myself well: When the camera turns off because the batteries are exhausted (exhausted for the camera), I take out the batteries and connect them to a small incandescent light bulb and I leave them connected until the light goes out completely, then I recharge them. Is it correct or is it better to recharge the batteries as soon as I take them out of the camera without completely discharging them with the light bulb method?

What is the best storage voltage for both Nimh and Nicd, pls?
@TheTenergybattery2 ай бұрын
Generally it's recommended to store the battery around 40-50% charged. For Nimh and Nicd the voltage will be around 1.28V-1.2V. If you're unsure and would like more info, please reach out to our team with your battery pack's specifications at [email protected] and our team can help provide more info.
