Thanks Dale for the information- I’m planning on doing the navigation exam in the next few days … like you I’m also finding the RBI difficult to understand lol Do you remember what questions popped up in your exam 😂

I'm curious how you manage to record the audio/video and monitor your playing without latency. I was trying to record the audio/video with OBS and because of about 25ms of latency makes it actually impossible to do. I've tried the melodics suggested AISO4All and various other settings to mitigate this but so far... no love.

I recorded the melodics portion with screen recording on the ipad, and then myself with my DSLR, then merged them in the edit for the video. Hope this helps.

Hello Dale, Thanks for this informative video, do you know how the device copes with average speed cameras I was using the cyclops system on my iPhone and it was very good sadly they have stopped, they suggested OOONO on a quick look the OOONO does not appear to cover that. Any idea if it does. ThanksChris

Why have you gone with a Zappi EV Charger when the new GivEnergy EV charger is available and will integrate well with your GivEnergy “set-up”? Thanks.
@SpectrumGeeks
@SpectrumGeeks 7 күн бұрын
I had the original gen 1 zappi at my old house and then got the gen 2 zappi when I moved. I am really happy with how the zappi performs, but regardless GivEnergy didn't have a car charger available at the time, and I didnt know 2 years ago that I might go with a GivEnergy setup. Plus I like how the Zappi and Eddi work together, and can have the wireless CT clamps with the Harvi. Thanks for watching and commenting.

If the price point of Sigenergy is what I've been informed of by people within the industry, all other systems including GivEnergy and Tesla power wall will be obsolete.

A very informative update Dale. That's great customer service by GSM. Sadly this seems to be the case when I spoke to any of the companies and installers, saying different manufacturers gear doesn't work with each other. However, I was pretty confident that AC and DC batteries could live together, with perhaps some efficiency losses. Will be a video to come covering my experiences with the two battery solutions, and how I have things configured.

How long until feed in tariff stops, will the home buyer get free power after a certain year?
@SpectrumGeeks
@SpectrumGeeks 9 күн бұрын
The Feed In Tariff is 25 years, after that the homeowner no longer gets the FiT payments, but can them move to SEG and get paid for any energy they actually export. If you own the Solar PV system (ie not rent a roof), you still benefit from the free power generation anyway, regardless of FiT, SEG, etc

2023 CB1000R Black - Honda built a great bike with some great kit, but it’s like the shock was the last thing on the build list and they had already run over budget when they selected it. It is wildly under valved and doesn’t have compression damping. It’s absolute trash. The Showa BPF’s can be made to work well, but the shock is hopeless. Throw an Ohlins on and don’t look back. If you’ve got the money after the shock, put the Ohlins fork cartridge kit in.

I'm on an Agile tariff with just a battery and I have been getting an average of 12p/kWh over the last 3½ months. It's a useful tariff if you use more power than your battery can store (we use up to 30kWh per day and only have a 9.5kWh battery) as you can charge during the cheap rate afternoon period too. It looks like payback in around 4 years.

I bought a small mirrorstone panel, about 80cm square, with wifi connection. I found the wifi bit very/very difficult also getting the mounting points in the correct position was tricky. It heats my loft bedroom pretty well. So i am sold on infrared panels but the mirrorstone panel i am using is now reduced to On or Off by switch. I would say they need to get much better software to control these panels.

If you're going to supply a 12v power supply to the siren, do you still need the Duracell batteries fitted? My siren will be going very high on the property and I'm hoping to install it and not go back to it

Ideally you want the D Cell or the removable chargeable battery to provide backup power in the event of a powercut, but in short it only needs one form of power, so 12v power will be fine solo.
