I think that the clarity is given by the speakers.

@@mariancol2428 The speakers may be clear, but they cannot increase the clarity provided to them by the source. And on every system I hear the new Teac dacs the clarity is amazing.

I have the C.E.C. TL51XR player which I bought new from a dealer. After many years the belt wore out and wouldn't stay on the pulley. I contacted CEC for a replacement belt. They wanted $50 plus shipping that they would give me a pass code so that I could make the purchase. No thanks. I asked them for the dimensions so I could buy them off eBay. They said it was proprietary and couldn't possibly disclose that information and if I bought a Chinese belt off eBay I would likely run into more problems and it wouldn't be a permanent fix and then they said I should ship the player to them to inspect it and find out what's the source of the issue that I'm having. Anyway, I measured the diameter and thickness of the square belt and bought them off eBay and installed it and it's working and sounding great as it once did. Really poor American representation of a great product.
