I know downtowns in general are bad. I'm researching looking around Whitby downtown Mason Dr & Dovedale Dr do you know that area? Do you know if this is safe area and are tentants pool bad in that area like Oshwa downtown? Anything you can share about that area would be apperiated.

It's not always a separate walking/biking trail, sometimes they connect to roads and not always directly on the waterfront either. It's just connecting various different trails, roughly bordering the Great Lakes :) There's maps and more info on waterfronttrail.org/ if you're interested!

This site also used to be where the old bowmanville arena used to be. Built in the 40's and demolished in the 80's , was a popular destination for local kids and also briefly held the oshawa generals .
