Nice job but still appears a bit lumpy, maybe because of the black printing. Hopefully the client is okay with your signature on the front of the image. Thanks for the video.

Hello Tony, great video man! I found the video I was looking for days! I'm looking to buy a 3-axis tripod head. My equipment is heavy, I have a Hasselblad digital H5D medium format camera, and as you know, they are heavy, and their lenses and accessories can weigh up to 10lbs in some cases. Which three-axis head do you recommend if I mainly do portraits? I usually use the Hasselblad tilt-shift adapter HTS 1.5, so I need precision while also being fast and practical to use. What head do you recommend that can do all this and also make vertical photography easy and secure? Thank you!

Thanks for this tip. I just used your tip to Rick roll my two best friends! I saw that it is posted three years ago and I happen to be on the phone with Apple support about a different issue with my iPad Pro and after troubleshooting that issue I asked them if for the current iPadOS and iOS on iPhone if there is anything in the settings to disable URL link previews and they confirmed that this method is still current on the current iPad, OS and iOS in 2023, and that there are no settings that can be toggled on or off to disable link previews in iMessage.

I know this video is ancient, but I just want to say thank you. Metal fabrication is in my wheelhouse so I was able to do this myself - this video is was what convinced me to get the cart back in 2016 and it's been amazing ever since for my hotel/resort photography where I'm lugging the kit from room type to room type over the course of days.

Tony, do you still use this mounting technique? Has it proven itself over the years, or has it shown itself to be too troublesome? Have you modified and/or improved this technique since this video? I'd like to attempt this myself - I love the results. Thanks!

yep. I actually had a large vacuum press for years, but in the end, this is still the best way for those who don't have the room for a giant vacuum press.

That’s a great idea! Although probably not as durable. I guess it depends on how much they get moved around and whatnot.

Special tools, materials and coating to prevent contaminating the print. Special expertise necessary for proper handling of the print in the mounting process. Well, I'll save myself stress and probable misery when there's a misstep and pay a pro for this type job. This is definitely NOT for a beginner or first-time effort. If you believe differently, I wish you all the best.

Thanks Tony... Question: the bogen magic arm is rated to support 6 pounds. The digiplate light is 2 pounds, my laptop 16" macbook is almost 5 pounds... then when I start using computer a little more weight will be applied.... do you find your magic arm ever slipping or struggling with the weight? I'm buying this product so just wanted to ask you about that first. also, when you move around tripod with digiplate attached, don't you run the risk of a leg folding in on itself, and everything immediately come crashing down?

You can do it either way, just make sure if you’re moving toward the subject that you’re not losing any of it on the edges of the frame. I usually do a test run.

Tony, I've watched EVERY overhead setup video on KZfaq.......well, maybe I missed a few :( and yours is the best! Even better, I already had light stands, superclamps, a spare ballhead, a table etc. I initially went with the 2" conduit, but since I won't be gutting and dressing a hanging hippopotamus, I decided to exchange it for the 1.5" conduit which seemed to fit my style better. I only needed a 4' length, so I put away the remaining 6' section in case I need it in the future. I've got two safety cables on the way to my home. The Manfrotto 1004BAC stands are not the most stable but I think they will meet my needs. Then again, maybe a couple of C-stands are in my future. Anyway, thanks for making this fantastic video which has been so helpful for my home mini-studio. By the way, that 2" EMT conduit that was $15 when you made this video is now $45!
