I bought this camera and had no idear the center ping is off, I got to know about when I bought a Godox TT520 II and it didn't work. This is frustrating. Thank you for the info but I knew about it late.

Ergonomics and menu use not evalutated? I think Canon is doing better cause everyone does not have 4K monitors--its a tech geek manufacturers gimmick in my humble opinion. I will soon have 80D upgraded from 70D. The only thing for me that Sony has is the eye detection. Then there is lens selection -Canon already has over 300 lenses available. BTW what pro-sumer shoots at ISO over 64OO? I have rartely shot over 3200 and probablly can count those photos on hand. Good video though--espcecailly concerning autofocus. I think the average user will adjust to what ever they purchase. To me honestly--Its a tie.

Thank you Michael! I have taken some good photos, creative photos etc, its my favorite hobby, but ive never felt "in-control" of my camera. I sat down, and watched this video while holding the camera and clicking around with you. Yeah ill be back to refresh, but it really helped a lot pf concepts that were vaguely inderstood to really *click. This education is a breath of fresh air wIth all the other hyper-edited cam vids on YT.

Absolutely brilliant Michael. Thank you. I used your course to see if this was going to be the next camera I am going to buy. Have already checked out the handling in store. It seems to be a great little camera. Best wishes with your work.

Peen shooting on and off for fun for the last few years but shot an airshow with a borrowed lens a few weeks ago. Decided to get more serious about shooting and just picked up a R6mk2. This helped so much with knowledge of the camera and shooting in general. Thanks a ton!

Michael, I am from Bangladesh and a new learner of photography, I watch your videos. In Canon 90D Tutorial Training Overview & Tips Video, you show metering timer and expo. simulation these two items are not available in my 90D canon camera. Why? Could you please reply.

Absolutely amazing. I finally could afford a R5 in 06/2024. Read the whole Canon manual (1,000 pages), but still learnt some very handy settings here! Highly recommend! 👍👍👍 💯 Best is to have the camera right next to you when watching this 3hrs long video and follow along. 📷

its odd to talk about refraction problems when refraction is what makes a lens work, you don't run into refraction problems just by going from air to glass to air, you run into problems if the shape of the glass is not optimized

I have just upgraded and love this camera and your tutorial. At 33:12 of your video you talk about setting Expo. simulation. My camera does not have this. In the menu it does not list Metering timer and Expo. sim. Is it no longer on the camera, or do I find it somewhere else?? Thanks

great video, thanks a lot. The one thing i don't really like tbh is if, like you did, you switch "Initial Servo AF pt for..." to the middle option, when in tracking AF mode, you loose the ability to switch between eyes and/or faces. In other words it doesn't give you those arrows that show you you can use the knob to flick between eyes and people....does that make sense?

Thanks for this video. I have owned a Canon T7i crop sensor camera for 5 years now and am ready to move up to a full frame camera. I want to go mirrorless and stay with Canon as I don't want to have to start from scratch learning a different manufacturer's software. I am not a professional but consider myself an advanced enthusiast. The R6mkII fits exactly in Canon's hierarchy of mirrorless cameras where I think I need to be.
