I have a lot of heat myself, and have used moxa to clear heat on points like LI-11. It has helped, at least in the short term (haven’t tried it for an extended period b/c of the smoke, mainly).

You don't want to have airflowing in the room for effective moxibustion. The exhaust there is voiding the treatment.
