@@salehbaker9221 I would love to see how the N1S series would look with native 4k and not the upscaled version. I think most manufacturers are so happy with the results of the current TI chips and quite honestly, every time I turn on my Ultra so am I. I just watched Furiosa last night and was completely blown away by the imagery and picture quality...amazing, but I seem to say that every time I watch it. Also, thanks for watching my videos as well!

No issues at all, in fact, you don't even notice it when watching content, once its set to you screen it's now wide enough to go so far past the border of the screen. I think the only time it may be noticeable is if you were projecting directly on a wall and if it was off centered...but even then it isnt so noticeable that it is bothersome.

Curious if you have have ‘issues’ with sizing…when I choose a 12 oz cup I get just under 9 0z sometimes 8 oz? I have seen a few other people say this but not really any videos on this issue. Other than sizing I love my machine…but have only had it a few days. Thanks👍

@@sass5101 thanks for watching! I would say that mine has been pretty accurate. I have a 20oz cup I use and when the 20oz is selected it is always bang on. When I select 12oz it too is usually full. The only time I ever notic it short is when I forget to add water to the tank 🤪

@OlyGoalie67 Trying to download / install the programmer. It wanted me to sign up for drop box for some reason. Then I thought I had it when I tried to install/run it. Windows freaked out. It told me not trusted. I did the do it anyway option . It still said no and gave me about 15 messages that the file contains a virus. So I'm just lost. I'm kind of scared to keep clicking on things. I did watch The Other video. The link I need from that video no longer works. That's why I needed the other option. Idk.

Can you take a look at the gaming mode? The response time is the one thing that kept me from pulling the trigger on the original N1 ultra. I've heard that this new one has a "gaming mode" but can't find anybody that covers what it actually does to response time.

@@reznorfan78 I reached out to JMGO and they quoted 15ms. I don't game but my daughter's do and they have had zero issue with lag. That being said, they do not do high level gaming so I cannot give you a better answer than that I'm afraid. I have tried a little golf on the Xbox One and that was spectacular on a 150" screen but that is definitely not as intensive as a FPS game for sure.

Hi there! Your reviews are fantastic! I saw all your N1U reviews before purchasing one, and now I'm trying to automate my setup but got stucked on this 100% bluetooth remote control (many bluetooth controls have the power and volume through IR, this one does not). This Sofabaton looks really good! I just have one question... my Zidoo can control the volume and turn off/on my N1U through HDMI ARC, but it can only turn it on if it has been turned off by Zidoo remote itself, as in that case the N1U doesn't turn off completely, it goes into a "sleep" mode... Would you be able to test whether Sofabaton can turn on the N1U when it is completely turned off? (using the N1U remote control, press the "power off" button, then press the directional pad down and select "Power off" for a complete shutdown). If Sofabaton can do that, that's a problem solved!

I was able to use it with the N1 Ultra but not the N1S ULTRA so you should be ok...I have contacted SOFABATON to see if they can add the JMGO to their data base and they indeed sent an email to JMGO as they cc'd me on the email but I haven't seen any reply and that was like three weeks ago. You can select 'other' when setting up under Bluetooth and then make sure you go to bluetooth settings on the N1 Ultra and select add a product. Then follow the set up steps on the Sofabaton the the N1 will recognize it at that point and then it works from there. Hope that helps.

Oly. Your videos are very good. I wanted to ask you a question. My desire is to buy one of these projectors, and use a 4k apple tv. And I would like, if possible, to enjoy Dolby Vision low latency. For this I want to buy an arcana. My question is: do you need something more than the arcana to make it work? Is it very difficult or complex to make it work? I don't understand how some important companies like jmgo and others don't give importance to Dolby Vision. I don't know if it's because they are oriental brands but it's difficult to understand. Above all because they make a difference in quality. I would greatly appreciate any advice you see fit. Thank you so much.

As far as your question goes, the Arcana would be all you need with the ATV4K running to the Arcana first, then out to the JMGO. Once that connection is made the ATV will automatically add the Dolby Vision activation button in settings giving you full Dolby Vision goodness and if you find a second hand Arcana you can get LLDV for a reasonable price...well worth the investment when working with the N1!

Thanks for watching, appreciate it very much. I ended up selling my Vertex 2 and then repurchasing the Arcana 2. The settings are more limited on the Arcana but that is the nature of that less expensive unit. That being said, I still use the BT2020 setting on the Arcana which would be the same as what was on the Vertex 2...I hope that helps and enjoy your N1S Ultra!

@@ER-rt9le the only issue with the JMGOs (and most triple lasers) with ALR screens there are issues with speckle so I will be very curious to hear back from you when it's all up and running whether you have speckle. I had speckle with my JMGO N1 ULTRA and my old Carl's Place DIY screen. I now use an Elite Screens A8k Acoustic Transparent screen and there is 0 speckle. That is a great question and I would say that I have never noticed a way to activate one and not the other. I can take a look to see if you can but I would say 95% sure you cannot. In the end you could contact Ranvoo's client customer helpdesk and I'm sure they could answer that question...sorry I don't have a better answer.

Kirby...here is Ranvoo's answer... I'm happy to answer your question. The wind speed of AICE 3 can be adjusted to 0, so you can turn on the cooling plate without the fan. But the temperature of the cooling plate cannot be adjusted to 0, so you can't turn on the fan without the cooling plate. If you want to use only the fan, you can use AI mode and set the cooling plate to a temperature close to the ambient temperature displayed on the APP, and the cooling plate will stop working. Hope the above information helps!

Hey Randy, thanks for watching. I think I acted too quickly in giving my N1 away and should have thought it through a little more. The extra brightness is pretty noticeable and I am one that uses the 'built in' features like the smart features and speakers so the improvements there are also much appreciated. If you did not use those bells and whistles then the N1 is still an amazing projector even still.

The N1S is a nice upgrade from the N1 but if I could buy either and the N1 was lesser in price based on the fact that there was a newer model in the N1S, I would likely go with the N1S as I always want the newest but others who weren't too concerned with having the latest and greatest would be VERY happy with the N1 as well.

@@OlyGoalie67 my 3550 had a mild one, but I guess they find a way around it in TI. I sold the benq and looking for an upgrade due to the more stable light source of the laser and higher contrast ratio. Plus it gets to the hundred percent dci p3 without a filter.

Thanks for watching! Lack of DV is very disappointing but with the addition of an HDFURY you can have LLDV. I get that it isn't the same and especially because the chip they use has the ability to do DV and the higher lumens just make sense to take advantage of it but it is what it is. In the end the color and contrast is so far beyond anything I have ever seen that the lack of DV is more of a shame than it is a deal breaker. Please keep me informed with regards to your C2 Pro and its contrast as that is the common complaint if any about the C line.

Get a high quality Android 11 stream box that will accepts a cat 8 lan directly from your router,then run 8k HDMI from the stream box to HD furry Vrroom box to get LLDV to send directly to the N1S for next level set up to the new N1S.

Thanks for watching and great question. I think the N1 will handle much larger sizes. A user on the Discord JMGO owners site has 170" set up I believe (may even be larger) and it looks stunning. I believe the auto focus etc still works but I do not know that for sure. Usually though when going that large you are setting it up and leaving it so even if it had to be done manually it really isn't a huge deal. I hope that helps.

I have the original Arcana 18GBPS and it activates LLDV on all my sources...they all go into my receiver then out to the Arcana then to the N1S ULTRA...works very well. Anything that has the ability to produce DV will work as far as I am aware.

Oly, the N1 Ultra is really 2000 ANSI lumens when converted from the 2200 CVIA lumens measure they claim , so there’s a 1000 lumens difference in the new N1S Ultra, it should be noticeable ! Or isn’t not? You should do a comparison video.

Hey Oly, Another nice thorough review. Adaptive wall color is a nice feature that I previously only saw on the XGIMI units. Thank goodness for "Power on Behavior". but that looks like a feature that could have been added to the entire N1 projector line with a firmware upgrade. From your review I think I'm beginning to see some nice features in Google TV vs the sluggish Android OS. Looks like many of the streaming apps that I use are available by default, but does it have a Play Store to add more apps , like HBO Max?

@OlyGoalie67 It's definitely something the end user takes into consideration, when choosing a projector. No one wants the lose in resolution, when using digital zoom. The new Hisense C2 lineup is coming with this upgrade, as well they have added 3D capability, comparable brightness and a gimble. They are gonna be Jmgo's main competition, in the lifestyle projector segment, for sure.

Hi Oly, is the brightness difference notable? I would probably wait until the next release which I hope they add the Dolby Vision although I have the Arcana 2 which is working perfectly with the N1 Ultra.

Yeah, I am not sure if I would upgrade at this point...it isn't just brightness, but better sound, more stable OS and a few things like direct on to last input etc. but DV would have been a game changer for sure!

Thanks for watching, I am using the Elite Screens A8k Accoustic transparent screen and it is spectacular with zero laser speckle. 3d is mind twisting as the extra 30% brightness makes the 3d that was already spectacular on the N1 even better on the N1S, such amazing depth, better than the Epson 5050UB which used to be my favorite 3d before the JMGOs.

Jmgo claims that still laser speckle is present if alr screen is used, when I reached out to them. They recommend to not use alr screens, instead just standard screens will work. And may be an vividstorm alr ust screen.

I just mentioned in another reply that there would be speckle likely visible on an ALR screen but I literally have absolutely zero speckle using the N1S on my Elite Screens A8k Accoustic transparent screen so if you were in the market that is what I would recommend, mine is the 150" version and it is amazing!

G'day from Australia, Oly! I picked up an N1S from Amazon here about 6 weeks ago and agree with everything you've said about it. If anyone is reading this and hesitant about purchasing the N1S then don't be -- it's the best projector I've ever owned and can't remember seeing an image so good. It's on par with my LG OLED TV. I think it slipped out of a Chinese back door somewhere as it came with a note to say that it was "Chinese version". Although I was suspicious, it is indeed an N1S complete with the new wrapper around the box and all features are present on the projector. Some menu items are in Chinese, however, and it's as though the software wasn't quite finished when it shipped. A pre-production demo model, perhaps? A point of interest is that the processor in my "Chinese" N1S claims to be a MediaTek MT9679 (as opposed to the MT9629 in your model) which supports Bluetooth 5.2 and USB 3.0 as well as Dolby IQ. I haven't done any tests to confirm this. Thanks for the great video and awesome review, Oly!
