Can I control 3 fx6 cameras with one remote?
@kasperskarhj225015 күн бұрын
Yes you can! It's actually quite a feat since various technical reasons make it quite difficult to connect to multiple of these cameras from the same host, but we did it. 🙂

Can it play files in sync, like for example to simulate a multicam setup? Does it need to have a PI5 or can it run on PI4 as well?
@SKAARHOJАй бұрын
It can run off Pi4 or Pi5. The way to sync would simply be sending a start-playback command all at once to the players and rely on their individual timing. If you start, then stop, then start again, it's likely they will be very sync'ed up, enough for a simulated multicam setup I would say.

Hi Miguel. You will need at least one Blue Pill device to connect with FX6. The RCPv2 will be able to shade FX6 through a Blue Pill device. Alone, it cannot (I'm assuming your RCPv2 is the UniSketch version we have sold for the past many years - there is a new RCPv2 with Blue Pill inside on the market today)

Can I just say the BIG thing I want out of vMix replay is being able to set an out BEFORE you set an in. For example: Player scores a goal and runs to the corner flag to celebrate. I want to hit and OUT when they are walking back to their own half to restart the game, I then want to scroll back and set the IN as the goal buildup was starting. Please can you incorporate this into an upcoming patch! I think its a game changer!

This Integration is so cool, Thank you for all your work. What I am thinking for months is to integrate a (wireless) computermouse to control X and Y position values for the ATEM USK. With that, it would be possible to generate a virtuelle LaserPointer. That would be so a great to integrate in a multi screen stage, where a traditionelle Laserpointer does not make sense.

Can you combine StreamDeck with PTZ Fly without buying Blue Pill Server?
@SKAARHOJ2 ай бұрын
Not just yet. We are working on it. Blue Pill has to be in the PTZ Fly though (so, a new unit). In a newer version of our operating system you can use the Micro USB port with a special USB-A (female) to Micro USB + External 5V power - that will make it work this way too.

Greg Bellote figured how to use the Tally system to offer all the feed back you need using the TSL listener in Companion using StreamDecks. So it is possible I had it working on my Ross for the last couple of months.
@mikkowilson23 ай бұрын
A couple of Ross terminology tips: The busses with the buttons are "Background" and "Preset", because (technically speaking) "Program" is a ME output consisting of the combination of any keys over the Background and any transitions in progress (during which Preset is also in Program!); and "Preview" is the output of an ME that depends on what layers you have selected for the next transition. Think of "Background" like your lowest layer in a non-linear editing software, that then has the "Key" layers over the top of it. Your ME "Program" output is like your final output. All "Background" & "Program" (& "Clean"), and "Preset" & "Preview" are all separate "sources" within the switcher that you can assign to things like output connectors, MultiViewer windows, and even crosspoint buttons. Each ME has its own set of busses and outputs. ME1:BKGD, ME1:PST, ME1:KEY1, ME1:KEY1A, ME1:KEY2 .... ME1:PGM, ME1:CLN, ME1:PVW. The Keyers all have 2 buses: KEYx is the Key Fill channel, KEYxA is the Alpha channel for that keyer. MiniMEs have less resources, so they have less KEYs, and also can't generate a true look-ahead "Preview" or a "Clean" output. The full MEs also have a hidden extra keyer for "Media Wipes" (Called "Stingers" on Blackmagic switchers), so thats what the "ME1MW" and "ME1MWA" [Alpha] sources are about. You can see them on buttons because the output of (almost) every single Bus in a Carbonite can be assigned as a source to (almost) every destination or output in the system. Want a Keyer DVE box in ME2 that follows whatever is on your Preset row in MiniME3? You can do that no problem! We do stuff like that for example to use Aux busses accessed from the main ME to route what source goes to DVE boxes hidden in upstream MiniMEs without having to change operating layers for example. Each Carbonite also has a separate true "Program" output that is the output of the highest numbered ME on the older models. So ME2:PGM is the system "Program" of the switcher shown here. There's a configuration setting called "On-Air" that you can use to choose MEs and Aux busses drive the tally system. Auxes & MEs can trigger a red tally for their Program outputs, and full (non-Mini) MEs can also trigger green tally for their Preview outputs (which may or may not include their Preset bus if the next transition doesn't include a BKGD swap!). In addition to our recoding Program output, we also have our Carbonited trigger tally for Auxes feeding IMAG screens for example. So a camera operator will get a red tally light if there camera is live to either audience. Super useful.
@mikkowilson23 ай бұрын
We use TSL to read back the actual bus source status from our Ross switchers. It's a 2nd parallel device core to set up, but it works great! (We're on Unisketch still, and just use the TCP Client core to send our Ross Talk commands.with the strings from the Media Strings with numbers added as variables from the buttons.) It appears that you are using TSL for source labels already?
@mikkowilson23 ай бұрын
... I should note that we use the simplest TSL tally to show On-Air and In-Preview only using the Red and Green tally flags. To do full bus status tracking would require setting the switcher TSL output to include bus:source IDs in the labels and then parse those fields in the Skaarhoj controller to extract the bus sources and build a lookup table to light the appropriate keys. That is beyond the capabilities of existing Unisketch cores that I know of. Perhaps BluePill could run the necessary parsing, should be pretty simple with a few regular expressions.
