I wish that I could have met Dr. Angelou. She was such an inspiring personality, in a world that so desperately needed such light! What a blessing that her legacy lives on via videos like this!! May she rest-in-paradise!!!

Wish she knew there's no such thing as a 'firmament'. There's no dome over earth that would prevent man from getting into space.

Holy crap, never saw this until now, and Chappelle did seem to start acknowledging his position in the world's view much more seriously in the years following.

Thank you so much for your humility Dave. This is an iconic moment and your wisdom and ability to think, say No, when it counts the most, says a lot about you. Understanding that freedom cannot ever be bought, and betrayal to self is far more painful. One actually liberates oneself, when they give something up for their freedom. Exercising the right to choose, is the most liberating thing one can do, more than any sum of money. Freedom is within and self love and respect is priceless.

Then there's Chappelle's character creation, the rapist superhero: "So he rapes them. I know, I know! That's the dilemma for the audience because he rapes, but he saves a lot of lives. And he saves way more than he rapes, and he only rapes to save. But he does rape."

@23:56..... That's a lie, Malcolm X didn't call BLKS the degrading nword. Malcolm X said field and house Negroe. This can be looked up and verified. Now listen to how Angelo tries to enlighten him @25:13. Note I said try. Cause he still didn't get it. @26:23....he tries to justify the nword. Sigh, there's no justification. SMH

I don't know...as an white Irish woman, if I have the right to an opinion?? However I need to say this moved me to my core! I started thinking about my heroes who gave their lives for our freedom. Men who stayed in our home on the run from British Authorities! About how the movement changed tact...and forgot, denied all those who fought to give them the right to exist! Sorry this was moving, intelligent, kind, open, inspirational and inclusive! Thank you Ms Angelou...and Mr Chapel!!! Quiet lovely to watch and learn from...Cead Mille Beanaught (a thousand blessings). In my native tounge that was literally wiped out by the British.

Cannot give this a thumbs-up, as much as I enjoy, and see good in David. But for him to exhult on Obama ,merely because he has black skin, is a sin against God. Great, let's have a black or a green or a purple President -i fine; godly men could care less, and in fact would thrill to see Christ fulfilling His promise to bless all the Nations and families of the Earth. God is no respecter of persons. He has said that the flesh profits NOTHING. So for any man to love another man simply because he looks like himslf is pure self-idolatry., and immensely childish. Obama is an evil, evil man. He is a marxist fool, fueled by hatred based upon all the dysfunction in his own family. He has done immense damage, on purpose, to America, because he hates the freedoms in America and he continues under Biden to rip apart the guts of this great (though imperfect) Nation. It is hard for me to believe that Chapelle, with all his incisive mindfulness, can be so blind as to praise BHO, a man who will go down in history as one of the most lowly of scoundrels. I do not condemn the man. His final judgment belongs to God, and wouldn't it be something if he repented and got saved?

You are truly ignorant if u don't understand why Dave would vote for Obama....& your blatant hypocrisy with the nerve to quote scripture & bring up God & the way u speak about Obama...it's you that is doing exactly what u accuse dave of. & that just proves you are the worst type of ignorance...cuz u use the Bible to justify your hatred. Disgusting

33:30 ---- she went there with him on the issue of selling his soul for this industry. She said to him don't let anyone make you compromise. She reached out to him before you would leave this earth in their what I call secret meeting beyond the industry. I feel she spoke in now-translated codes. Codes that the words translate its self. lIKE MALCOM X AND MARTIN kING. She said you are the one to expose the truth the iconic one. YOu can't stop what we now see unfolding on oprah and all the greats. I respect this meeting of truth. Keep Going chapel OF the exposing.

"The laughter, when I'm at my best, I'm not looking for it" -- Dave Chappelle -- this is why we see a more preachy Dave these days. He's not looking for the laughter, but to teach people using comedy.
