Amazing! That would be really good if you could do such a video. Would be brilliant to see you Rev your van up whilst it is static. Sure your van sounds very nice! If you could show a pedal shot whilst you Rev your van up that would be much appreciated too!! Keep up the great videos 😀

Beautiful video! The Canadian Rockies are truly spectacular! I found your attitude toward camping and van life very much in tune with my own and I'm 73 years old. Camping has been in my blood, thanks to my parents, since I was a very small boy back in the 1950's. My first National Park was the Everglades in Florida. I did backpacking, which is the ultimate in camping, when I was in my 20's and early 30's. Your Volkswagen bus sticker brought back many memories. I had a '71 VW camper van. It was slow and no A/C but it took me all over North America, including my first trip into the Canadian Rockies. I now own a Jeep so I can get into more remote areas away from the crowds. I still sleep in a sleeping bag in a tent. But I'm thinking about buying a small tear drop trailer. Sleeping on the ground is getting a little tough on my old bones. I subscribed and am looking forward to more of your videos. Good luck with your van. Leaks are definitely bad news. Enjoy your journey. Thanks for sharing and safe travels.

it definitely sounds like we have a lot in common and I'm happy to hear that you're still travelling around! my van is pretty old so the sealants have just been a bit worn out, some caulk should sort them out. so cool that you had a VW, that was my dream van before I got this one lol

getting back into hiking has made my soul feel so alive again. one thing I loved the most about living on vancouver island was how connected I felt to the nature there. it's a feeling and lesson I yearn to take with me throughout my life moving forward. hiking allows me to get out of my mind, into my body and focus the beautiful world around me. I am grateful to be hiking in my new vessi shoes that are vegan and sustainably made with zero plastic packaging, which is super important to me. follow the link on my profile to get your own pair! #vessiambassador #followthewater #gifted

I got the van from Facebook marketplace and it had 114,000 km when I bought it! I might paint the outside but not anytime soon. I love the windows although there were so many which doesn't help with insulation, so that's why I covered 2 up :)

@MichaelGuenther853 ай бұрын
Just leaving that big ass boulder on the shoulder of the road isn't the right thing to do. I know you needed to get out, but you should put the boulder back or at least get it off of the shoulder of the road. That's just dangerous for everyone else.
@kierstynsaoirse3 ай бұрын
I agree! unfortunately the boulder weighed a thousand pounds and the other truck dragged it as far into the ditch as they could. there was no other way to move it. if we dragged it back to the original spot we would have trapped another RV in. we came back the next day and all boulders were gone

@@briannishi3728 this video is from 2023 winter, so there were no fire risks. they were cutting trees and probably wanted people to keep their distance, but they didn't check to see who was parked down the road and blocked us in. we were in a spot that is well known for camping and there were many others there with us. there was no way for us to drag the boulder back, and if we did we would have blocked another RV in.
