What about the older ones? That havy the gray color on the bottom? That comes off on your hands- & have never been in the dishwasher? Very annoying - scary. What is it & are they safe to use? I see the newer ones dont have this- they are all silver.

This is what I found on their website: You can use paper in the following weight/thickness ranges. * Do not use paper heavier or thicker than this, as it could jam in the printer. top feed Plain paper: From 17 to 28 lb (64 to 105 g /m2) Specialty paper: Up to 80 lb (300 g /m2) / from 4 to 11.8 mil (0.1 to 0.3 mm) manual feed tray Specialty paper: Up to 93 lb (350 g /m2) / from 4 to 23.6 mil (0.1 to 0.6 mm)

Seems like a good cam! But would the wire hinder the functionality of the side airbags? Curious about your opinion on running the wires in front of the airbags...

Good question. I'm not 100% sure but my thoughts are that these are hanging out at the top of the airbag and not wrapped around the middle. The only true way to know is to ask a pro. I'm also seeing a lot of others who do these installations at shops videos and they are using the same technique. I'm planning to make some adjustments in the future to address the wires in the back of the van.

I'm using Environmental cover ultra bright white with a smooth finish. It's #80 with 216 g/m2 #04961 It's not on amazon anymore but you can find it here: paperworks.com/store/products/environment-ultra-white-cover-8-12x11-80lb-250pkg . Hey, have you used them yet? I've heard a lot of complaints about the coating peeling off and discoloration. I just ordered a set and found these bad reviews after the fact. They'll be delivered tomorrow and I'm freaking out because no one said customer service was any help, if they even responded. The ones who got response said the warranty was no good that the scrapes or peeling was not a design flaw. It's crazy some literally just received and tried for first time.

Yes, they are still by far my favorite set. I use them daily. We are handling them rough, so they are getting some scratches on the outside, and staining (lots of tumeric here) on the inside but they are handling the nonstick functionality fabulously. I just try not to set the heat higher than medium. Eggs come out perfect every time!

Beautiful printer. About how many of those 83# pages can you have in the feeder tray? Im looking for something that can hold a few and print while I do other things. A lot of printers have trouble doing that and have to be hand fed a couple at a time.

Wow, I recommend contacting the company for a replacement or alternative. Maybe there's a loose fuse inside. I'm sure they will accommodate.

Do you have to unplug the cigarette lighter power cord so it won't drain your van battery? Or does turning your engine off turn iff the cigarette lighter also?

I am leaving mine plugged into my mini van and it's been fine. I'm not an expert, so you should probably check your vehicle manual. The alternative is to get a separate kit to hardwire it to the car.

Hi, it's been five months now since you made this video. I'm wondering if you still like it? I want a color printer that will take cardstock and print borderless. I was ready to purchase it, but decided to check Consumer Reports and it gave it a very low rating. Looking at other reviews, they were saying terrible things about it also, but others haven't said anything about it. I'm only going to be using it for the occasional greeting card and craft project, but I want it to be trouble free. I just returned the Epson ET8550 that is supposed to be a great printer, but it wasn't good with cardstock and borderless was not perfect at all. It either cut off part of the design or had a slight white line on the outside edge. In another video I found on You Tube, it was on why you shouldn't make borderless prints and they were two things they said would happen, besides the extra ink would collect inside of the printer. I was also having problems with it telling me there was no paper in the rear feeder when there was. I would print out a few and then get that message again. :( Thanks so much again, I look forward to hearing from you.

Hi, Yes I still absolutely love this printer. I have no regrets. I have not experienced any of the problems that you are concerned with. I've been using mine on a daily basis for my own Etsy business and I use 216 gm2 cardstock for my project. I hope this helps:)

I just did this on the Mrs. Sienna after watching your video, thanks. Some things I learned. You can push your rear camera cable back into the cable run so it is not hanging down and in frame. Also, you want this clean since that's just what will catch a cops eye as an "obstruction" and might pull you over. Keep the cables as hidden as possible. The wire running by the passenger door can be worked under the A-pillar trim. Your wire is running over the seam of that trim. That trim can be easily lifted up with the red tool that came with the kit, and the wire is completely hidden. If you can, just pry the trim and adjacent rubber rather than taking the entire trim off. Also, if you want the parking mode, you need the hardwire kit for $29, and there is a fuse just to the left and up from the brake pedal. The nice thing about the fuse box is that there are several open fuse slots, so you don't have to worry about accidentally screwing up an important system by piggybacking an active fuse. You will need to lie on your back on the floor mat to work on this panel but its not that hard. The kit includes a battery voltage cut-off, so if your car sits for a long time, the parking mode won't drain the battery.

Nice vid! You can use the Dongar adapter that wires the unit into your mirror above vs dangling wire into the cigarette lighter. Just push down the plastic cover in front of the mirror, pull the power plug, connect the Dongar adapter, and plug in the Vantrue. Also, you can run the rear camera wire through the wire tube connecter with all the other cables going to the hatch back, vs have more exposed dangling wires for the rear camera.

Hey love this video thank you! I just bought this printer and I’m trying to print on cardstock Same as you and it’s printing the colors super faded. I made sure the settings were correct for cardstock on the printer but it still prints faded. Am I missing something? Would love your help!! 😅
