for anyone wondering,yes,this farm works on 1.20.4.Torches don't matter as much but slimes can spawn on torches and other mobs can't.So if you remove the torches it will even reduce the spawn rate of the slimes.Second,if its still not working try lighting up the caves next to it and cehck what you're missing.Note:spawnrates do increase the lower y is.But y 22 is recommended.
