As an introvert I can pinpoint exactly when he's joking and making himself "cold" for jokes (like the moment he said he hates people and that he doesn't laugh at anything) and when he's distancing himself and closing off for real because the interaction is uncomfortable or the conversation is getting too long and it's too much for him. I couldn't relate to him more and he's handling interactions with people beautifully in my opinion. And my god what a beautiful man he is...

Reporter asked him also if he was planning on doing that kind of thing again and he said, no, because you can't plan something like that. And he summed it up as a "funny anegdote".

I know this is a really late response, LOL, but Xabi was asked about it in an interview (don't know about Steven) and he said it was a surprise, having Steven approach him like that, but he took it in the proper spirit and reciprocated freely (or something to that effect--the interview was in Spanish, so translation isn't perfect, but that's pretty much the gist of it). He also said that he wouldn't do something like that again deliberately and that it was a spontaneous thing (sure Xabi, LOL).

I will miss the House series, because its ending means that I would no longer have access to new House/Wilson scenes. They are among the most memorable scenes in the whole program. And, Robert Sean Leonard is a significant reason why. He said that he didn't think that getting an award is a part of his role in House, and I believe it, and also that IMO it is for reasons that have nothing to do with how great an actor he is. He just doesn't play the game. Bravo, Robert.
