Someone who finally speaks truth about Justin Herbert and his talent!! He does have legs too tho. You are a little wrong about his mobility. 🤷♀️
@culprit19858 сағат бұрын
I feel people forget what a killer Herbert was with an offensive head coach and a good offensive coordinator in Steichen. Broke all those records first year. Ever since we hired a defensive head coach, Herbert has not had the numbers. Even tho we do not have top tier wide receivers this year or yet, I do believe under this staff justin herbert will match his first year and elevate a few of our wide receivers to stars.

Meyers should be a 'good starter.' He's in the upper echelon for a WR2. Andre James is a top half center in the league, had suitors in the offseason. Parham is above average. Spillane had a great season last year. Jack Jones is above average. Saying that AJ Cole is *the* best punter in the league but not giving him an A+. Carlson is a top 5 kicker in the league but given a B+. The team has talent everywhere. All the starting QB has to do is check it down and not turn the ball over. The team got better in the offseason but you're projecting them to be worse by 2 games. Very questionable.

I can't take anything serious that someone says, when it's clear that they didn't research the subject. For example the fact that he said that the defense wasn't a high ranking defense. I guess he's right, a top 5 total defense isn't high ranked at all. Lol
@TheNotoriousOne2156 күн бұрын
They were 23rd in rush defense and 29th in points allowed, 32nd in turnovers forced (11 forced), 32nd in rushing TDs allowed (Allowed 25) 32nd in sacks (27) had the lowest pressure %, and also missed a league high 131 tackles, sure they had a top 5 overall defense in yards allowed but it's because more often than not the team was getting smacked and teams didn't need to pass the ball which what leads to a top 5 passing defense. They spent the second half of games just watching teams drain clock on them which shortens the game too

Sorry, but if you had done your homework you would have discovered that AP really is an "Xs and Os" coach, coming from his time as an all-pro linebacker and Super Bowl winner against the Patriots as a Giant. He was known as a film junkie, and studied the Patriots offense to the point of upsetting the Patriot's offense in the Super Bowl by recognizing the plays and calling defensive audibles. Moving on...The Raiders offense is just stacked. The only thing we don't know is how good will AOC be at QB? After being thrown into the fire last season he ended up the last five games with 9TD and 1INT on the way to 8 wins. He was told what he needed to work on and he spent the entire offseason doing just that. The defense ended up the #1 scoring defense in the NFL after AP took over as interim coach. They added one of the best DT in the league to that defense.

Good discussion with the team being in some sort of roster purgatory. The NFL is not like the MLB, you don't stumble your way into conference championship games. Coaching and roster matters the most in football, and if your front office isn't serious about winning, your team just won't be successful (unless you have a generational QB like Mahomes or Brady). I would be truly pissed if I was a Buccs fan, you're in the worst division in football and yet your ownership spends the 6th least in cash spending. It's just like the Indians front office trading away an all star lineup the last few years because they refused to spend money to be competitive in the AL Central. As for Mayfield, it's year 6 and he has not had 2 good seasons in a row, his inability to read defenses in high leverage situations still hasn't changed, and even his cheap contract tells you what the front office really thinks of the roster.
@michaelbelshaysr45257 күн бұрын
Well, given last year, they were supposed to be just above or below the panthers. What do you expect? I personally have the floor at 9-8 with 3 games winnable. Lions we lost by 8 in the playoffs, which could have been tied if not won. Lions aren't going to cakewalk us. Baltimore is a running team, which we are good at beating. Atlanta, we'll Cousins coming off an acl he hasn't played yet and from what I hear isn't near 100% so depending on his physical recovery and mentality could cast doubt if they even win 1 game against us. Add in, and he may be injured again. He isn't young anymore, so recovery may not be full before the end of the season. Philly, we have beaten them during the regular season and post-season, we will see. N.O. aren't going to be much better, and in fact, aging is taking over on both sides of the ball there. We will split. If not, take both games there. Denver, Chargers, Raiders, commanders all in the bottom 5 teams I don't expect any losses from those 4 games. And of course, depending on who does, the ranking panthers will lose both to us. All things considered we can expect no less than last year, and we can expect to win the south again.

Almost beat Detroit in the playoffs but 24th. The disrespect is wild. Bucs are better than at least half the NFL😂. Our CB room is weak, but we improved in all sorts of places. Carlton Davis stayed injured and did not really bring much to the team any more.
@Gagan_S7 күн бұрын
Where did they improve in? Looking at the EPA graphs the Buccs lack pass defense and running efficiency. I see some cheap 1-2 year deals for corners and guards but nothing which really states that they're aggressively perusing to fix their deficiencies in free agency. Trying to rectify these issues through the draft is such a hard game to play, drafting for needs and immediately starting these 2nd round plus players is historically inefficient. Additionally, Mayfield has never had two efficient years in a row. Once you're at the point where you blame coaching or injury on a player in his 6th year for every bad season you have it's more of an indictment on the player. And when stakes are high he historically doesn't show up when it matters the most, his ability to read defenses in clutch scenarios is really concerning when the rest of the Buccs roster isn't like that of the Browns or 49ers, where you don't need great QB play for the team to excel.
@kaneohehaole70037 күн бұрын
@@Gagan_S our interior OL and Dave Canalas was to blame for our run game. We improved our interior OL with our 1st round. We got a Veteran from the giants for our OL. We got Bucky Ivring to help White. Dave canalas is to blame for our running game because his run plays were predictable and he chose to run up the middle more than the outside even though white was better at running to the outside. We got a jets safety that was originally drafted by the Bucs. He’s already familiar with the system and has great chemistry with the team. Whithead is leagues better than the safety we had before. Our new OC isn’t gonna be stubborn and predictable like Dave. Dave didn’t let Baker do audibles. Baker will have more control with how things go now. Plus our running will be leagues better if our 1st rounder does his job. So teams won’t be able to ignore our run game which will free up baker. With a better OL in general baker won’t be running for his life every game like he was last season. The WR we drafted is already showing great promise and will probably start. Our CB room is weak like I already admitted, but we can’t fix every problem in an offseason. We also have one of the best safeties in the league to make up for the lack of CB. Plus whitehead is an above average safety. About baker never being consistent, he’s never had a consistent team. He’s had more head coaches than the years he’s been in the league. This year he has the same team other than the OC and he’s been given the reins. Baker knows he will be around for at least 3 years which will give him confidence that he needs. Canalas was only good for helping baker get confident. As long as baker keeps his confidence our new OC will allow him to thrive.

@Gagan_S this comment is just flatly wrong 😂 yes, you can absolutely take into account injury and the least stability for any QB ever. Having 8 HCs in 6 seasons and still posting 3 seasons where you're graded top 10 at the position is nothing short of impressive. He's been historically good in the clutch, especially last season. He was one of the best in the league especially on 3rd down. And Tampa Bay absolutely has a good roster. He has more weapons now than he ever did in Cleveland. We can keep pretending Baker isn't good and act like we don't understand why he hasn't had 2 great years in a row, even though we know it's quite simple. 2019- Freddie Kitchens 2021- He had one arm 2022- In Carolina coming off surgery and while he started they were releasing and trading away half their team as well as firing their HC

I still think we need another draft where we hit on a few players. Bryce still needs to prove he was worthy of the first pick. Oline is definitely much improved at the guard position but Ickey has to get his pass protection together. I think he’ll have more time. WRs need to get separation. Run game needs to be more reliable too. If all that can come together we’ll be improved but who knows by how much. Canales seems like he has potential to be a great head coach. He just has that persona/attitude.

For a guy who’s so right you’re so wrong here. You might wanna take a look at the schedule. Panthers get 4 wins in week 7-10 alone. 10-7 at best 7-10 at worst is what I’ll say. 9-8 would lowkey potentially get us into the playoffs. Come back to this in December and let’s see who’s right.

It’s so weird to me that we are a “small market” team. NC+ SC is the fifth most populous region in the U.S. I think maybe it’s because so many of them moved here from elsewhere and remained fans of their origins and never hop on the panthers bandwagon because we’ve rarely been consistently good if ever.
