One of my favorites of all time. The lyrics are some of the most poignant ever. Check out Irene Karl’s version. . I love hearing the inner melodic lines, the unexpected chord progressions. . A stunning arrangement

Johnny Mandel wrote the music, and asked Dave Frishberg to write a lyric for it. Dave told the story of giving Johnny the lyric, and having him say, “Nice. Addicted to this track. Love this tune in 3 - Fred’s comping and JLo’s lines are so emotional… what a sound! One of my favorite favorites of Fred’s.
