I glued my polycarb sheets into the frame with Gorilla Sealant. Withstood 4 storms so far 🙂

Hi there my friend. I have had several inexpensive greenhouses over my lifetime of renting and then later when I own a home I would build a PVC greenhouse. I never had to deal with panels popping out, just securing the plastic. Smile. Now that I have purchased a prefabricated alum greenhouse, I have been seeking knowledge and information from those before me, before I venture out on a calm non windy day to build the greenhouse together. Smile. That said, thank you for sharing your knowledge about solutions that I know will occur, [I live in a windy spot, can't escape it]. Thanks again I will store the information and be prepared.

Thank you so much for posting your solution! My greenhouse poly / aluminum kit has arrived... Foundation needs to be done and then the building. I live in the southern USA, about 150 miles from the Gulf of Mexico, and occasionally bad hurricanes are still force 2 or 3 when they get here. My kit contains 6mm panels. Our local Orange Big Box store carries 8mm panels. I'm sure I'll need to update someday.

Pro tip: don't having a music track playing at the same level as your voice when you're delivering dialog. It's incredible distracting and takes away from what you're saying.

Could you slice down the middle then squeeze the two halves together to fit into the groove?

My apples and pear espalier are in their first spring/summer after planting them in late winter. The first tier is growing well. Its now mid summer. I have some branch growth coming off the two trained laterals and some off the central leader. Should I be summer pruning in the first year on my first tier laterals? Is mid summer too late for that? I have one pear which has produced a few laterals off the central leader at a tier two height. Should I train those now or is it best to cut the central leader back in winter to start the next tier from fresh? Thanks

You can do a summer prune of the bottom tier to maintain the shape, just make sure that you keep the leader intact so it can be pruned in winter for the second tier

Hello Paul. My names Jim, I garden in the UK and have a channel called Home Grown Veg. I got a small polycarbonate greenhouse a few years back and its been 'challenging' to put it mildly 'a nightmare' to be more exact. Its been such a battle to keep it in one piece. I've uploaded 8 videos all relating to my struggles. Now I've got a few sheets 'disintegrating', its never ending. Hope all your hard work pays off. Jim.

Hi this is not a complaint ..but just to advise when you started i could just make out .what you were saying ..when you faced the camera..and at the end when you were near the stone fruit.again very faint ..but when you were talking nearer the house.. near the 6 teir Espalier ..you sound was perfect ..pity as I was very interested ..in what you had to say about the stone fruit .. my sound here was on full .. ill subscribe to make sure I catch you next time around. .I can just imagine how exquisite your garden will be this Spring and summer. thankyou .

I have found that as well as bowing the panels that came with the greenhouse have not stood up to UV and disintegrated over time. Aus purchased 4mm replacement panels have lasted longer, but 8mm will be the long term fix I need as well
