Technically, mojang already added a mob to the badlands, the armadillo, but I agree that even now, we need a new mob to fit the feel of the badlands. Maybe the vulture could scare away zombies like a cat to a creeper, and be tamable with rotten flesh.

I remember finding the badlands in a tutorial world with stampys love garden in it back in 2015

Maybe dragon scales could be used in addition to dragon bones to make the white netherite armour mojang hinted at in the start screen a while back

I hope they put more care into the strongholds design and layout, and make the generation of it more complex like the trial chambers. The end portal room should be more dramatic and mysterious looking

Maybe with it, you can like use it for like combining it with your chestplate for like putting both wings and a chesplate together finally

Mesa biomes contain GOLD. Make GOLD more useful, making the badlands biome feel a lot more exclusive. For example, in real life, gold is a dense metal used for a variety of purposes. Mainly though, for decoration. SO why not make armour trims that use gold only, making gold and the badlands more exclusive. Another use for gold is to use it more like a currency. I mean, you can use gold to barter with piglins, but not trade with villagers. So why not add a way to trade with villagers with gold for exclusive trades? That way the mesa will feel more unique, useful, and resourceful. ---->

Mesa saves me in UHC early game. If you never played UHC as a world, I reccommend STRONGLY.

My first ever survival world started in a mesa biome. Since it was my first survival experience, I was incredibly confused. I always associate one's first ever night with punching a hole in the side of a mesa mountain with your fists and waiting there, because that's what I did

Another unique thing about the Mesa/Badlands is the terracotta. Also I have a strange list of top three favorite biome which is 5:Stony peaks 4:Mesa/Badlands 3:Warped Forest 2:Lush Cave 1:Jungles (Especially by oceans or lakes)

It feels like the developers are just adding random updates that they put into certain places, rather than focusing on "What's missing?", the badlands has a lot of potential with the pillagers and ambiance

You need gold for powered rails. Wanting to build large rail systems in a "normal" survival world is certainly not all that uncommon.

Cool ideas for the Badlands : 1 - make outposts spawn more there (to simulate "bad guys" like in an old west movie) 2 - make a type of village made of dark oak and with wagons like in the "organ trail" (the blacksmith could also be a bank) 3 - the vultures (with the ideas of @yeetuszilla1663 ) 4 - (adding on to 2) I know minecraft wont do this but maybe the pillagers from the outposts could have glocks or explosives like from an old west movie again. (reply with more ideas and ill add them up here)

(2:51) I use the clock! I have an underground base, so I have a clock in an item frame right by the exit of my base to see if I need a nap before I go out and up… That’s quite useful
