Nice video, Can you ask John when he went on the Shock Drop at the Geauga County Fair in 2022 who the two girls on the left of him were. I went on the Shock Drop at the Geauga Fair in 2018, and I think I could have seen the same two girls getting on the Shock Drop but they were I think much younger, I'm going to guess they are younger than me.

Fr. Kotlinski does the TLM at St. Stephen in Ohio City too. I attended once while visiting my family in Cleveland (Rocky River/Lakewood area). So beautiful. I live in DFW area now. We have one TLM parish not too far from my home. Cleveland has some magnificent churches that I did not appreciate when I lived there.

I love the novus ordo. If the mass was in Latin I wouldn't understand it.

I can livestream a Traditional Latin Mass in Nigeria and understand it because it's in one language. The Novus Ordo took that away from so many people. Luckily, the traditional Catholics are the ones making kids. One day your kind will wither away since it has no spine, and no kids. The NO and TLM cannot co-exist. I would be happy to point you to some good resources about the TLM. God bless you.

@Schrodj1 traditional Catholics are the ones having kids? Where did you get that statistic? The mass should have never been in one language, thats why Our Lord gave the disciples tongues of fire so that people from all around the world could hear the gospel.

The sacrifice is offered to God, not to the congregation, which is the sense the NO gives us

You lost the faithfulness to the Church, faithfulness to the Magisterium of the Church. Which a very big problem, you don't even know the statements and documents that the Vatican II produced in reforming the Church. One of the main reform of the Vatican II is to restore the most ancient tradition (i.e., people work together in the liturgy not just the priest) working together as one, the priest has his own part and the congregation too which is the people is in full consciousness in participating the liturgy and that gestures are not present in the TLM because the priest does everything. The liturgy from the Greek word "liturgia" meaning the work of the people, not the priest alone.

Where is my role? If one asks that, they miss the purpose of mass. Mass isn’t about us, and when we recognize mass is about God, and the sacrifice of Jesus, then in the most beautiful way the mass does become about us.

I taught in a Catholic school which had a group of Satanists back in 2017. They were nice bunch and actually more respected than myself. One of them wanted to tell me that the height of their festivity coming was using Catholic hosts...consecrated hosts together with their molloch ritual. They argued they were far far more açcepting of everybody...LGBtQ non binary, anyway of all religions were welcome to their feast. Before hand they had a synod which was about emptying oneself and listening to the spirit. He described in detail how they were required as a group to bend to that spirit and the only way was all present had to let go of rules and beliefs...he actually said the word rigid saying that would not enable the surprise ahead. Honest, it startled me a little and I wrote to the bishop asking what could be done because they had the Eucharist most probably and he said he would ask the nuns to pray rosary in sight of the blessed sacrament and he would remember to the offences while on eucharistic procession on the upcoming corpus Christi. Now I'm a synod rep and for the life of me I can't get past the similarity of the guides prompts and papal placements the uncanny resemblance. It is like it is all being played out in the same world but with different cloaks and masks. We need to pray

A problem of the NO is that it makes us think the mass is about us, an offering to us. Really it's the eternal sacrifice being offered to God, which we're privileged to be able to participate in. I don't think the NO is wrong, it's legitimate, and it's still beautiful, i just think it doesn't do half as much justice to what's actually going on spiritually

@TheGringoSalado the mass is about us it is for us because we need the mass, we need God, God doesn't need us, he wants us for our own good because he loves us. You need to start seeing God as father like Jesus taught us and not some dictator ruler of the universe that needs man's approval. God gave us the mass for our sake, and no matter what way the priest faces, does not take away from the fact that we turned up to worship God. In the mass we are remembering the last supper and and participating in the representation of the crucifixion and in both cases Jesus is facing us, he does not have his back turned to us. Remember that the priest is in persona christi

Well said, Marco. "Lex orandi, lex credendi" was the Latin you were looking for earlier...that is, "the law of prayer is the law of belief". And as you mentioned, is it any wonder that most Catholics no longer believe in the Real Presence these days? I also liked your musical analogy. It's like trying to tell me that Mozart and Chuck Berry are somehow the same; nah, sorry. You can appreciate them both (as I do) , but you can't possibly say they're on the same level. And I agree: Dr. K has some good stuff on the Latin Mass. I'm getting ready to dig into one of his other works, "The Once And Future Roman Rite". Again, very well done Marco; keep it up!

I remember Holy Rosary used to do the Latin mass sometimes. As a kid I would go with my Aunt. When she lived in Italy all they had was the Latin mass. I had no clue what they were saying but my Aunt did. Over the years though I did pick up some of the songs. Yes all praying and facing the crucifix. I remember when we lived in Sicily and we would go to church they would face forward. I was about 3 or 4 then but I do remember that.
