You access it by pressing the select button. Then you will see the Blue indicator and you can navigate it with the directional buttons. Once you are on the setting you want then hit the select button again and it will give you the options under that setting on the bottom of the screen. Once you have selected what you want, to back out of the quick menu hit the menu button until the blue indicator is gone. Normally twice. Once to get out the setting options and once more to get out of the quick menu. I hope this helps

@@valenciosmall1683 That is awesome brother. I happen to stumble up on it. I updated the Metabones and reset the contacts on the adapter then I noticed it autofocus when I was changing the aperture with the lever on the adapter. It is a big deal for me

@@ThisIsLeeBird Yeah, I understand bro. I this camera is going to be my C Cam. I got it rigged to perform but with rigging adds cost. Depending on the individual the cost of the cam and rigging maybe better justified on buying a BMPCC.

@@mrplaomeow768 Thank you for your comment brother. I guess to be transparent it all boils down to whether you want to rig this camera or not to get what you need out of it. You would have to ask yourself would it be better to just get the BMPCC4K seeing the image will be the same? For me not being that big of an fan for the form factor of the BMPCC series they may require less rigging. With rigging comes cost. However, like you have just mentioned I have a stage camera, handheld camera, cinema camera, Run & Gun camera, and possibly a drone camera all in one. I will continue to push it the limits a bit and see where it takes me.

@@VidHeadz Yeah I have a 6k apro and a 6k G2 with all the rigging and it was all because ai was frustrated with the canon eos M and magic lantern at the time. I think if you use the micro 4k g2 for stage stuff or streaming at home the majority of the time and have a few reasons to lightly rig it up with stuff from your primary run and gun rigs I think its fine but I wouldn't recommend anyone purchase this to save money if they want a A cam run and gun business building device. Its a big hassle with lots of failure points aka wires and I/O

@@mrplaomeow768 This is definitely understandable. I can't argue with that at all. Definitely not an option for saving money because it has to be rigged to get the best out of it. I plan to use it as a B or C cam for a TV show coming up. I pre-ordered the Pyxis back in April but the continuing delays may have me go a different way. I usually use a 3 cam setup and Micro Studio 4K G2 will definitely work as a B or C cam. The Pyxis was my thought for the A cam. Just recently I thought of auditioning the GH7 as my third cam for B or C cam. Was waiting for the Pyxis so I can evaluate for the third cam. But, like I said the delays will make it hard for me to continue to wait. I thought about just grabbing the 6K FF but again playing double dutch as I wait to see, Lol! I monitor audio out by watching the Volume meter & from the monitor. Most monitors have a audio monitoring jack and it is fed from the HDMI, which is decent. When shooting things that need professional audio I have captured with the ZoomH6. I would love for her to upstage me. That would be awesome. She has lots of knowledge on Photography where I know lots of people who shoot video are hybrid shooters. Hopefully I can get her moving in that direction. Thank you so much for watching my brother.

I was doing custom WB and get the green hue all over the screen, but can't seem to be able to get out of the green hue, then I saw your explanation about the underexposure, I crank up my ISO and get the exposure up to 0 instead of -2, it instantly fix the problem!! @@juanReyes-dw1sm you can kind off "White Balance" all of the clips shot in the same environment at the same time. White balance one clip, then copy and paste that color layer to the other clips shot in the same environment. Just label them to keep from mixing them up

@@stevealexander7772 I try my best to make sure people know I'm using this cam outside of it's intended purpose. And you are right the challenges are due to that fact. But I have grown to love this little guy mainly because of the Metabones Speedbooster. It takes it from a 2.121 crop to a 1.35744 crop factor. Gives me a 1 1/3 more stops of light (very significant). Mixed with BRAW and BMD color science this is a winner for me. I plan to make a vid about the ability to have push to autofocus with the Speedbooster. I'm sure in a studio environment it will be excellent as it will be just like the BMPCC4K image wise.

I add my monitor to the camera via HDMI. There is a main menu and a quick menu. You can hit the quick menu on screen by hitting the select button and you can navigate to the aperture, ISO (gain), false color, peaking, zebras, shutter, and all the other quick settings. You can also go into the main menu by hitting the menu button and it will take you into all the settings on the camera. I think it may be beneficial to do a vid on this showing the menus.

@@VidHeadz did you use a regular monitor or a bmd VA. ? Please do a video on this there is nothing out there that shows how to set the camera without an atem.

@@ereceeme not a problem, almost finished with my editing studio and I will be back making vids again my brother shortly. I should have this vid up this week. I use a Holland Mars M1 Enhanced Monitor at the moment but I'm auditioning the Shimbol Memory I monitor right now to see if it is a more cost effective fit for the Micro Studio 4K G2. For me I need a recording monitor so you can playback what you have captured. The Shimbol Monitor is $269 and the Holland is $499. The Holland only records up to 2 minutes and I have not found a way to get the recorded footage off the monitor. It does not have a sd card slot or any other media access. The Shimbol has a SD card slot so you can have access to the footage and all that. I will be making a vid about that as well.

Awesome to here. I too pre-ordered back in April and planning to use this cam for my up coming project this year. For me I don't have an issue with ProRes but I know there are peeps out here who care about that type of thing. For my up coming projects I will be editing the footage for the show so there is no worries there. I kind of wish there was ND's though but I do understand your point as to how it would change the camera cost and form factor. I'm looking at these cages that they are coming out with and I have to say I would like to try and rig this cam with out any cage if I can. Some of these cages are looking like over kill. Speaking of Fusion, I'm trying to dive more into fusion these days and right now I'm teaching myself by making my thumbnails in fusion to try and understand how to use the different tools that are offered. The one thing I'm struggling with as I have exclusively switched from Adobe PP to DR. Is transparent mask. It was so easy in PP to use a mask and the Opacity to feather out something and have a track underneath to show through. I have not quite figured that out yet in DR. With that said I no regrets by switching to DR and I love the amount of control it gives me.

@@tecno8335 well, mainly because of their age. When they were created RED wanted the bigger heavier lens because they thought it would be looked at as premium back then. Now, these huge heavy lenses are superceded by more modern smaller lighter lenses.

Also when these lenses were popular KZfaq was not as populated then as it is now. Not many cinematographers were making KZfaq vids back then as they are now. When I had these lenses it was 4 years ago. I think they are great lenses still but the weight is ungodly compared to the lenses today.

I'm a few videos behind in getting them posted as I'm in the mist of remodeling my editing studio. When it comes to the Pyxis I believe is has the potential to be a very solid Cinema camera and looks like it can be rigged to be a run and gun cam as well. AF and cinema cameras are not synonymous, so I definitely agree with you. As far as ND's we will see if they release another version that has the ND's built in. Hopefully they work this out. What are you shooting with these days?

The camera actually shows aperture calculation for the 18-35mm lens. Wide open it shows f1.9 on the G2. However when I mount my Sigma, or Canon full frame lenses it shows the lens aperture but it is obvious that the f stop is wider than the rating on the lens. So I have to apply the calculation myself. I have reached out to BMD about this in an email and they may address this in a firmware update. I'm the mist of remodeling my editing studio where I record my KZfaq vids so I'm delayed to record my next few vids on the G2. I hope to be able to get a few more recorded this week sometime.

So when you mount your Lens on the Metabones what does the camera say when you try and open the aperture wide open? Also I'm using the .64X Metabones XL.

@@JustlikeD sorry man, there is a typo - the aperture is is f/1.19 when I mount the Sigma 18-35mm with the Speedbooster.

Thank you for watching, I stated in the pin that it was my first time focusing manually at f1.2 with he Sigma Art 18-35mm and some shots are out of focus. I generally just wanted to show my first look at this cam and what was possible. I have more vids coming about this cam as I have decided that it is for me. I just shot a professional boxer Face Off for their up coming fight and this camera did fantastic. I will definitely give you better footage going forward.

It depends if you can accept the challenges of the camera to work with it hand held. But yes very doable.

I'm currently working on my Alt Cine Rig. I love having the option of a more simplistic rig as well as a production rig. This camera has proven to be universal. I look at it as a sensor with codec options and settings. The rest of the rig makes up for what I need. The buttons does help a lot. My draw back is that I chose big lenses with the Rokinon SP series. I'm sure I will pick up a smaller set as well (still deciding on the look I want with the compact lenses).

@@VidHeadz I have found the with the Meike compact T2.2 cinema lenses I can adjust exposure and focus w/o moving my hands. I also have added the new Freewell V2 VND/CP so I can also adjust the VND at the same time. I have previously locked the CPL previously when I start a shoot. All is compact and gives me great results.

No I have not had the opportunity as of yet. I just picked up the Rokinon SP series lenses and they are very under rated but heavy, Lol!

Viltrox lenses are amazing so are the Rokinon SP's. My favorite Viltrox lens is the 27mm 1.2 ap

If I understand the question correctly, the front wheel only controls the focus or zoom depending on which one is selected in the menu setting on the gimbal. The joystick controls up and down movements on the gimbal.

I'm sorry you guys are still having problems. The just of it is that the exposure is the key. If your camera is not exposed properly or more specifically under exposed for the the scene then the custom white balance is going to come back green. It is not about Picture Profiles but about the amount of light that is coming into your camera. Try opening the aperture more or raising the iso when custom white balancing and this should fix your problem.

Yes I sold off the deity and ended up with the RODE Wireless Go II and it was a huge for me. The issue is I'm not an audio technician and I could not get the floor noise to where I was comfortable. Being a one man band you have to pay attention to so much at once and the deity did not end up being the unit for me after time of use. I'm definitely going to grab the new RODE wireless Pro with 32 Float. Although I have no complaints with the RODE Wireless Go II the set with 32 float will give me more latitude in post where if I don't hit the correct level in camera I can still retrieve the proper level from the unit for post. Just a added insurance is all.
