Eric I have been struggling to find good ESL websites. each and every website you said was great and useful. Thank you very much. It's not just classrooms in which you teach; you also teach teachers to improve their work and it is the ultimate form of teaching.

Conditioning the students to wait before asking questions (01:50) is soooo important! The "you can't be shy" rule is a gem for ESL classes!

Wow,,thanks so much eric,will be starting my teaching career on monday and i feel like am well equipped😊😊,however if my lesson lasts for 40 minutes what i can do to ensure that i balance both delivering the content and doing ice breaking activities?
@etacude
@etacude Күн бұрын
Hi Electine - you'll want to break the class into chunks - do icebreaker, then teach concept or grammar, practice with students, give them activity to practice, feedback: students share what they've learned, play game to check understanding. I hope this helps!

Oh my goodness! Your channel and tips are really useful for millions of esl teachers - I’m not native and it’s even more useful just to listen to your proper speech and learn how to speak correctly and fluently. I have an experience of teaching schoolers from Phuket Thailand about 5 years ago. It was really a challenge but what I noticed is Asian people use lots of fun and colorful stuff to make their lessons exciting. So you and your dad do because also work with Asians. Love the video. I’m quite surprised you still haven’t your million - way to go! Good luck to you and your great dad!!!

I don't know if this would workout well, but what if you can use chat as a lesson journal during the school year. Since chat saves the conversation, the students can practice with chat at anytime over the exact content gone over in class. The teacher can have template journal prompts the students copy that tells chat what they learned for that day and ask it to remember the content for later individual studying.
