I love riding bareback. I’ve actually always written my horse bareback. I raise my horse since she was young and I always ride her bareback when she was ready to start being ridden. I did it so often that when we did try to put a settle on her, she did not like it. I feel closer to my horse when I ride her bareback but I think horses also realise that you’re getting on them without a saddle you’re putting your trust in them. And they tend to build a bond with you based on that.

the foliage in that area you are sitting is beautiful. You should take a picture here. As for the cinching, good information, thank you for researching, I always wondered about the right length !! and you are so right about horsey people !!
@anonymixx81065 күн бұрын
I hate it. I ended up with a very briefly but dangerously girth sour pony bc of dumb crap like cranking the cinch, only tightening once, no mounting block with a weight difference.... Shitty trainer wouldnt even let ME fix MY horse at her farm, called him suddenly kid unsafe. I pulled him from her program, rehabbed the issue, he went to nationals w me at 17, still winning shows with 10 year olds 🙄🙄🙄
@sportpony90372 күн бұрын
Glad you were able to resolve that issue, so sad how so many horses have to be stuck with such poor humans
@jamesnguyen13315 күн бұрын
For me riding bearback is very uncomfortable and it's way easier to fall off. And when you have a sadle on it way confer for the horse too. Riding with a sadle is way better

First and number ONE mistake - not wearing a helmet and setting a horrible example for younger riders!!!!
@sportpony90378 күн бұрын
The point of the video was to go over mistakes that can inflict pain on the horse, a helmet is a choice for yourself to make--or your parent. I do wear one, but not when I'm at a standstill with my very trusted horse 🫶
@margaretburckard66849 күн бұрын
What about no hands when jumping and your horse does an unexpected over jump? I find it flings me forward on landing. A bit of mane hair or neck support would be nice....😊
@sportpony90378 күн бұрын
Obviously you're taking a risk when going no hands, but if you have a good strong core that you're confident in you should be able to have better reflexes 😊

what brand saddle do you use? my mare looks like shes built like stella. she has to have a wide tree 8" gullet and i want a barrel saddle so bad but im stuck with a wade saddle ( i dont rope 🙃)
@sportpony90379 күн бұрын
Mine is a 14" circle y, full qh bars (which is an 8" gullet) I tried a nbha circle y once and didn't like it because it was too narrow for Stella.

Can't finish. It's obviously NOT a green horse, and you are just rushing thru everything. If you are trying to be helpful to someone who truly wants to learn to properly train their horse, this isn't the way to do it.

Gaited riders are so guilty of that awful chair position , pounding on the poor horses kidneys! Reiners do that elbows behind hip ..horrible. Tightening the cinch TOO tight is terrible!! Good observations!❤

I have to be honest I love watching you. Your very much in love with horses just like me!!! ❤❤ I was always looking for a loving relationship with a horse and I would jump on with no saddle or bridle no helmet no fear!!! I have been working with horses all my life I would tell them all the problems I was going through the abuse I was afraid to tell anyone because I was told that I would be taken away from my my mother and I have to say that I have been bff's with them and they have loved me with no conditions!!!! I am glad to have found you I'm sorry to bother you with the whole story but I wanted you to know I am your twin from another mother ❤ luckily, 🙏🙏🙏🙏
