eh, glad it has fans but - no Priority Pass lounges - much less direct flights than CLT, having the route on a map don't mean u can fly it. Lot of them are at impractical times and/or stupid prices. Sometimes they're like once a week. - few restaurants open late at night it's just barely bigger than a small town airport lol

Hi George - thank you for your message and for watching! I’d be happy to discuss your specific needs and wants - I can do WhatsApp or Zoom since you’re overseas. Unfortunately federal fair housing laws don’t allow us to advise on “family-friendly” areas (you will still see some Realtors discussing this, generally innocently), but I can make some great suggestions once I know your criteria (budget, what kind of neighborhood you’re looking for, how close you’d like to be to things, etc.) Please feel free to reach out via WhatsApp (+1 310-850-4855) or email ([email protected]) to discuss further.

Great topic, Matt! I fly through RDU regularly and I agree with your observations about how easy and nice it is (I only have experience with American and United so Terminal 2). I'm curious about the new Breeze direct flights to San Diego - the planes look pretty nice but the flights are only offered several days a week and haven't synced up with my travel needs at this point. When I do make the move and want to fly back to San Diego for personal reasons, I'm definitely going to be trying out Breeze if they keep their insanely low-cost options ($89 one way back of bus!) but are able to maintain a sane and calm travel experience.

It's called "dating a city." I've driven all over the world and the US. What I have noticed is that when you have drivers from different cultures, the blend of those driving cultures causes the "bad driver-ism." When I say "culture" and "driving culture," I mean how they drive, which is regionally based (not ethnicity based). A driver from Texas drives different than someone from someone in LA, who drives different from someone in SF. In Northern Virginia, where I am, we have drivers from all over the US and world. It is the most chaotic driving I've seen outside the third world. But that's because of the mix of different driving styles. What else influences is, to your point, the aggressive nature of the population. Northern Virginia is the Type-A capital of the World, so driving is more assertive. Having "dated" Raleigh a few times, the driving is far more pedestrian than NoVA.
@MovetoRaleighАй бұрын
Completely agree. I grew up in LA and have a much more aggressive driving style because of it. The influx of people from all over definitely contributes to mishmash (and mismatch) of driving styles here!

I’m from Greensboro, but live in Dallas, Texas now. Dallas is about 3 hours north of Austin, but for the most part it still holds true that those summers are hot. The hardcore months are mid June through mid September. That’s 3 months where it’s hot, but what you left out is the rest of the year. It’s pretty nice. Even the winter is very mild outside of the occasional cold snap. As for this competition, Austin these days compete more with Charlotte.

The last time I flew out on a Monday morning, I was worried that there'd be long lines at security and screening due to the AM rush. I was pleasantly surprised because TSA had sniffing dogs in use the move folks along more quickly. We didn't have to take our shoes off or take anything out of our bags as a result. The dogs made the screen process faster and I was still able to completely move through security for my early AM flight in rapid fashion.
