Great video! I have often wondered, is that a metal fence over the stream? Why is it there?
@gamecamwildlife91584 күн бұрын
Hey Les. There’s a barbed wire fence on that stream that’s on the property line. That camera is looking west and can also be seen from the bridge cam as well.

Darren is there two bobcats? Seems one is young and slender and the other more filled out. I can't believe people shoot them. To me that's worse than shooting bambie. Of course if you have chickens then maybe you aren't so fond of them. LOL

MUNCH Munch munch... those deer are eating everything including my flowers for the bees. Planted huge patches of bachelor buttons which the bees adore but the patch planted by the woods are being munched, patch by the house are fine but have to fight the goldfinch for the seed heads. We've been without rain for about 6 weeks and the forecast is another two weeks without - might get a sprinkle next week. Temps up in the upper 90's. So seems like we are going into an early dearth and the major flow was ruined by the last rains and cool weather so hardly any honey to harvest and the bees are not capping it off due to lack of flow/rain. Going to be feeding just to keep the bees alive. Managed to get a mite treatment in but if they go robbing it will have been wasted money. Oh well what ya gonna do? Wow that feral kitty? is a mighty hunter and her kittens look well fed!
@gamecamwildlife9158Ай бұрын
Hey Nancy. Seems like whatever we plant, somthing else eats it that it was intended for. lol I feed lots of cantelope and mellons to the raccoons. This year I revamped my electric fence net, so hopefully it will hit them like a lightning bolt. Getting dry here as well. Sounds like we've gotten a little more rain than you. I'm at 3.37" on the month so far. Bees are busy, but slowing significantly. Hopoing to harvest 2nd week of July. Good luck and hope you get more than you expect!

Wondering if the camera is making a noise when rapidly snapping pictures, not a mechanical shutter noise like old traditional cameras but maybe an electronic click or something else because some of the animals (racoons and foxes mainly) seemed to react negatively at times when the pictures are being taken and it happened on different days/nights.
@gamecamwildlife91582 ай бұрын
I'm not sure. It was an older Nikon. I think it was a mechanical shutter. It definitely got their attention. The deer were a little spooked as well.

my comment was about the other squirrel breed that we have in Europe. They are lovely red in color and a third in size. They have the same temperament, somehow they always quarrel. They are losing the battle with your grey squirrels, they lack the defense against a virus that I believe has crossed over from the nordic hare. In Britain they really try to save them, they are left on one island and some smaller areas on the main island. Back to the color, they also exist in near to black plus they have wintercoats, but never similar to the color of yours. I will restrain myself from similar lectures in the future!
@gamecamwildlife91583 ай бұрын
I've seen pictures and videos of those squirrels. Their hair is longer too if I remembr right. They are really pretty. Too bad the greys are taking over. Hard to stop a rodent species from spreading once they get going.
