I did mine 12 years ago. I had to get an extra kit. It doesn't go as far as they say it does. You did a great job and looks fantastic. Hope it looks good for years. I've really liked mine. Same as other people said. Please wear shoes when you do these jobs. Saves your feet. Great job and you did a great video.

Hello I pulled the cover on mine and there are two sets of cables coming into the light fixture. Do I need to use one, both, or is there a specific one from the two that I have to use?
@buildsbymaz2 күн бұрын
What do you mean by 2 sets? Could you give some more detail on how everything looks?

A lot of the videos are hard to follow cause I have no idea where the heck they are working with all the wires. Great instructions and camera angles here.

I used this and was thoroughly disappointed with it. Used the clear coat on top which peeled. Everything tuned yellow with sun exposure. It was awful.

Just wondering... what would happen to the LED tubes if you don't remove the ballast first? Also, why do these tubes have a "polarity"?
@buildsbymaz6 күн бұрын
The light would not work properly or could even be damaged. All LED lights use polarity to keep the current flowing in one direction. Hope this helps.

1" X 4" plywood is not lumber. Yes you get it at a lumber store but lumber is actually logs or timber that has been cut into dimensional sized boards!

That is a lot of prep just to need to use good product in a couple years when that fails.
@FamspecPerformance10 күн бұрын
moisture test and then clean it? isnt that backwards?
@buildsbymaz9 күн бұрын
No, the moisture test is to see if there is excessive moisture coming up through the concrete from the ground, not checking for surface moisture left over from washing. The surface water will evaporate whereas if you have excessive internal moisture it will cause problems

Whay if your new dimmer also has a white wire
@buildsbymaz20 күн бұрын
You might have a white (neutral) wire coming out of the box in the wall. If so, you would connect those together.
