Hi, umm.. It could be because you are not counting stitches correctly..not sure. To get the clear idea, you can slow down the video and check what exactly is missing. Or you can use stitch marker to mark 1st n last stitch of the row. (You can use safety pins as stitch marker.) Before starting the row, count 16 loops and mark (1st and last loop) where you will be making stitches. Hope this helps! Let me know if you get it right.😊

I understand. This was happening to me sometimes when I was new to Crochet. You can try this thing, without making any round...just try to make central circle bigger and smaller just by pulling it from inside first and then pulling the string to close it. Try this few times so you will get idea of how strings move when you pull. Anyways, for this particular project, we don't want to close the circle as we want to keep it as half circle. Hope this helps.
