Tonal shifts within a song are a core part of Dreamcatcher Genre along with the top shelf vocals. They fuse rock or metal sounds with whatever other genres they feel like. BEcause has about eight distinct genres in it but it all connects because of their style. You discovered on your own the First Law of Dreamcatcher - it's all of them. It hardly matters what era you check out next because whatever it is... Dreamcatcher gonna Dreamcatcher. At the very beginning, Chase Me and Good Night go together. Maison brought their first music show wins and it has an absolutely wicked Dami flow. Boca is the epitome of Dreamcatcher genre, but the MV is missing member Handong 😢, still totally worth checking out I just never want to leave out Handong (the unique thing she does which I call Handong Supremacy is also essential to Dreamcatcher genre overall).

DC don't make a bad song. Also you've gotta deff check out them live, they are incredible. Particularly the justice comeback with siyeon, main vocal, being on hiatus and the girls covering her parts amazingly, Sua, main dancer taking her end notes and still dancing? Wow. Handong, belting in the chorus in her place. Wow. I hope siyeon is doing well, can't wait for the next comeback.

I would do Apocalypse From Us. Great mini album (especially the Bsides - Demian and Propose). Except it has another ballad to end the mini album though it’s a really good song.

When I listen to Dreamcatcher songs... that includes all the intros. I never skip them. One of my favorites is "Chaotical X"

dreamcatcher \:D/ yes check out more of their mini-albums. most only have 4 songs and a short intro so shouldn't be a long listen. keep in mind dreamcatcher makes 'special clips'(or dance videos) for many of their b-sides so use those instead of lyric videos when available. oh yeah, all albums have a ballad-like closer 😅 so happy days for you lol. don't worry, they always switch it up so their ballads run across all genres. the 2 rings performance you saw didn't have siyeon, their main vocalist. she's taking during comeback performances this time around. the villians and virtuous mini-albums are part of the VS series and I think it's only 2 parts. all their series have a theme and the VS is addressing greed/excess/vanity in today's society.

Dreamcatcher’s main thing is rock infused kpop with strong vocal presence, which appears live. SuA (main dancer) has even been quoted as saying “You can't be like you can't sing just because you're the main dancer. Cuz before that, you're a singer”

As a fan, OOTD was kind of a miss for me, especially when it comes to the chorus👀 I really love rock sounds and OOTD is a bit lack of that as a title track. But in the same album, I feel like you would enjoy“Rising” a lot. I also recommend you to check out [Apocalypse: From Us] album, “Demian” and “Propose” are rocky.

Welcome to the Dreamworld. They always have rock in their title songs but bsides they do all sorts of genres so i think you will love this group and i look forward to more reactions edit: jiu the leader of the group once said "once you get to know us there is no escaping"

In the MV, you can see that five of the seven members belted that chorus out. Our wonderful Main Vocalist, our sweet Wolfie, Siyeon, took an apparently MUCH-needed Health Break during promotions of this song (very in-opportune timing but if she REALLY NEEDED to take it, she can take it; her health and well-being mean much more to us than her being able to perform while she is not well. The fandom understands and supports it just fine). The other members really had to step up their game to fill in for her Live. She is missing on most of their Live Stages, and the Main Rapper is the only member who does not belt this song out. SIX of the members are fully capable of belting this out and knowing things about our Main Rapper, I bet she also could have if she needed to fill in. They are all AMAZING, completely World-Class, every single one of them. I love them all, no bias, OT7.

The long drawn out note in the chorus is actually sang by 5 different members. First time is the main vocalist Siyeon, second note of the first chorus is Yoohyeon. Second chorus starts with the main dancer who obviously is still an amazing singer, Sua, second half of the second chorus is Jiu. Last chorus is Gahyun holding the slightly lower but still high note and Siyeon is coming up a little higher with her, then the last long and really high notes to the end are Siyeon and Jiu. There are 7 members in the group, so only Handong and Dami weren't on the high notes in the chorus, but Dami is the rapper who had the whole second verse, so that makes sense. If you are interested in checking out more all the songs you mentioned people recommending are so good, but I would also recommend BOCA, Vision, and BEcause. Purple hair is Siyeon, and the red head is Yoohyeon, btw 😉

They all sing the chorus at some point, except for the rapper. (Handong only in the live stages to stand in) Edit: The ad libs at the end are done by Siyeon and she wasn't in the live stages, Sua sings them instead. They're all really good!
