I’m lucky if I make five dollars an hour I’ll go out for two hours and I’m lucky if I make $15 it’s called summer slow down. The kids are out of school and it’s all cheapskates and non-tippers for the most part. Every once in a while you get a nine dollar order for 6 miles.

The bottom line is no matter how they wanna put out the base pay, I only accept orders that are decent. If it’s a crappy order, I decline it or let it time out. It doesn’t matter I don’t care how they wanna play this tip game, if it’s a good order, I’ll take it if it’s a crappy order high mileage for four dollars forget it they can keep it. The customer can pick up their own crap or make a hotdog.

Once a master manipulator always a master manipulator. The tier system DD went to is BS THE ORDERS ARE NO BETTER VS GOLD OR SILVER. DRIVERS ON PLATINUM ARE LIKELY TO SEE MORE TRASH THAN THE OTHER TWO LOWER TIERS, I DID AND STILL DO THE LOWER TIERS JUST SEE THAT LONGER WAIT TIME FOR AN ORDER. DD WILL DO NOTHING THAT OFFERS THE DRIVER A CONSTANT OF BETTER ORDERS AN PAYOUTS. THE ORDERS GOLD SILVER SEE HIGHT WAIT TIMES. MORE LIES AND LESS PAY ACROSS THE BOARD FOR ALL 3 TIERS. SINCE WHEN HAVE A DRIVER EVER SEEN A LEGIT Incentive MILESTONE OR CHALLENGE deployed for a chance to make a little extra.. they did it once in January this year complete L6 order and get paid $9 for all the orders. A week later it disappeared NEVER TO BE SEEN AGAIN!! DD FOS. So until I see a anything even remotely truthful come from this rip-off company I'll take the orders that work for me not trashDash. I have self deactivated my Doordash account because of the garbage offers and the BS tier program. The ONLY way to achieve platinum status is to accept BS offers and even after you reach platinum status they still send you garbage offers and I refuse to play the game. I haven't dashed since the tier program came to my market.

I seem to be stuck between $15-$20 an hour no matter the time or day. I save the declines for those 3 out of 10 offers of $2 and $3. Pretty easy to stay around 75% ar in my area since all the restaurants are close to each other. My cousin dashes in south Florida, and it is hit or miss for him as well.

I don't complain about the dasher when DD's system is at fault. I even specifically say every time something like that happens "I am calling because this is a complete inconvenience to me and I will keep calling to get credits until you stop batching orders." I also complain saying the base pay needs to be higher because I tip good every time I order. Even after all that said they give me $10 in credits.

UE is horrible in my area. Offers all day long such as $7 for 22 miles. The really high paying offers have already been picked up and 10 other drivers have gone to that restaurant looking for the order.

Dude, the vast majority of orders, probanly in most markets Don't pay $2 per mile. So if you only took $2 per mile you STILL wouldnt make any $ because you'd only accept a few orders on a good day anyway.

They're pretty often but if someone isn't patient enough and/or doesn't value their time they won't see them. I make 25-30/hr everytime I go out between Doordash/spark/uber because I DO NOT waste my time.

Doordash will never offer base pay that actual dashers looking to make good money want to see, all good orders like $15+ with good miles are the customers tip or a batch order. If they increase fee’s customers will be less likely to tip.

Not even one day and it wouldn't take just flat out stopping... Dasher's need to just have standards and more non-tip low pay orders will sit and go cold. That is something Dasher's have 100% control over that could really make DD do something.

If the order is ready sure but you have to take into account every possible thing that can slow you down, I allocate a 20 minute estimate to every order the also includes the time waiting for another order.

In my market is 80% ar for platinum and gold. They took away dash now for everyone. You have to schedule at 3am every day. If you are not at least silver which is 60% you can't even schedule. Fuck doordash.

Yup! I noticed when I was ordering doordash in the last month it takes way longer to get food now too in my area, probably doordash trying to farm "EXPRESS" delivery or they are so keen on making people deliver no tip orders that they don't realize they're ruining their customer's experience by limiting dashers.

I deserve to get in trouble too. That’s one example too. anything I ever complained about to DoorDash for involving a Dasher I always reflected on myself as a Dasher some people need a wake up call like a contract violation

Considering every item is marked up higher than store cost AND THEN you pay a delivery charge which doesn't 100% go to the driver, the issue is with DD, not me. Personally, after the 3rd time, my food was left on my porch without a knock, doorbell, or any other indication it was there, WHILE raining, I gave it a think. Why am I tipping beforehand? Never did that back in the days when just the pizza joints were running delivery. A tip indicates good service, and the size of the tip is a measure in HOW good a service. If you leave my food in the rain while having CLEAR instructions to hand the food to me personally, you don't even deserve base pay. I DO NOT tip for a quality of service I haven't experienced.

And for those that say they don't make any money doing DD... you've got to be doing something wrong. In the last 2 months, my DD drivers have rolled up to my house in late model caddies, bmw's, Lexus, and Mercedes. Evidently, they're doing something right. Interesting note that it seems those driving those luxury vehicles provide better quality service... 🤔

@haynguy98 No... tipping is not done to ensure service. It is done to reward service, which can only be done logically... at the end. If you want to go into 'use to's', tipping originates from the Middle Ages, a method of rewarding a serfs service above and beyond expectations. As in, after the fact. I gave DDers a chance, like I said. When I did tip first... and tipped well (I've always tipped well thinking if it's good enough they'll recognize me in the future and make extra certain to excel). Like I said, when I got 3 separate orders, in a row, set out on my porch, IN THE RAIN, with no indication the delivery was made (ie, no knock, doorbell, call or text... or f* messenger pigeon), I was done. Yes, the order specified that the driver should do so. It's idiotic to tip first, and I simply won't do it. Do you want your tip? Have some pride in your job and do it right. Luckily, I currently have 3 or 4 regular drivers in my area who seem to always get my orders now, service is considerably faster, and they are well compensated.

It all depends on how much you work for DoorDash, my friend does DoorDash for 8-9 hours everyday of the week and she makes $14.50/hr plus tips. You get paid twice pretty much, tips and payroll. Actually do DoorDash like a job or don’t make job money 💀 she bought a whole new car doing DoorDash.
