Was it just screws holding the wood on the box? If so, how many were there? Im about to make a work bench out of 2 of these.

That Vespa appears to be in great condition and runs ok. P200's are super reliable and sought-after bikes in the scooter world. It's not a rare model but its very popular, that said the market seems to be softening, so you might get 3-5K? I ride a 65 Lambretta.... ( so you know I dont know ;)

Watching you push the scooter up the drive after a failed test run brought back a lot of old memories...none of them that great. These days we have cell phones and credit cards.

Pretty sure that's a late 70s early 80s top box. The emblem would be red around the Sears name. I have a matching 1971 top and bottom chest/cart I'm working on now. I'm trying to find original craftsman locks for it. I keep browsing eBay periodically. I had to drill originals out to get box open. I recently just acquired a 1950-60s RemLine top box that I'll work on after the Craftsman. I need side handles for the RemLine.

I just pulled the same tool box out of the dump! With the lower roller box! All it needs is a wash, a little paint and I need to tighten the sliders like this! Thanks for sharing! Just got another good box for my shop for the cost of elbow grease!

I've been looking at my wife's Focus with this problem. Whilst the sealing around the plastic lens isn't perfect, I'm not sure that's the cause of the water ingress as the other unit is the same but water-free. Looking at your unit (at around 13:08 on the video), I see you have the vent tube missing. It's a rubber tube about 5cm log with a bent over top. If you look at where your thumb is at that time stamp mentioned you'll see one of two mouldings, each with two protruding ring-like 'studs' inside. On one of the mouldings (at least on our Focus) there's a hole through the centre of one of the 'studs' that the vent tube goes over. As the rest of the unit 's openings have rubber caps or twist seals, the unit needs a small vent hole to allow air to escape when the air inside heats up (otherwise it would most likely push the rubber caps off the back of the unit). The vent hose points downwards and is intended to stop water entering the unit through the vent hole. Whether it does this as intended I don't know, but it's possible that going through a deep puddle, the water splash may make its was up into the tube and into the unit. Repeat this a few times and you get enough water inside to condense when it's cold and then evaporate when it's warm and so spread itself all over the inside of the unit. I'll still seal the gaps between the lens and the unit body, but I suspect that the vent may be far more to blame. And without that rubber hose, more water is likely to get in. I noticed that Ford changed the vent hose shape in 2013 (ours is 2011) to a more U-shaped tube, which may be them trying to fix the issue.

My friend only helped me do some welding. You can find all the parts at your fleet farm. The problem you have to recognize is the handlebars are too weak to use as a lever to pick up the trailer. On flat ground. It probably works really well. That was not my experience. Good luck!

Hey there! Wanting to do something similar to this with our popup, and have a couple questions. Why did you decide to place the mounting brackets and AC unit in that particular spot? I think personally I’d prefer to have ours on the other side of the camper but wanted to make sure there wasn’t a specific reason the spot you used might be best. Also, have you noticed if the weight of the AC unit pulls the roof out of alignment at all? For our camper, if it is just a little unlevel our door has a hard time opening/closing and don’t want something like this to make that harder. From the comments it’s seems you’re not using this rig anymore, but wondering if you have any thoughts to share? Thanks!

This is brilliant! I got two left hands but got Vespa restauration ambitions. I am optimistic but realise however that this will take quite some time. Your videos make the functioning of a motor, the different parts, what can go wrong and the possible solutions makes everything in one go so much more understandable. I just watched the third part and will go on till the very end.

Very useful video. How can Ford justify putting such shoddy components into their vehicles. My 2012 Titanium Focus also suffered from welding seams not being completed properly in the Boot /Trunk. Not very impressed with Ford, they would not admit liability under their warranty....which was about as useful as a piece of used toilet paper!!

We have the same lawn boy, we had a rope that worked laying around, a nylon one of course, but when we pull the rope to start the motor, the rope jams.. although the lawn mower started, the rope still jams... We did find that taking the air cleaner off made it easier to pull. I just don't get it.... Better than average video sir.....

Never put dielectric grease "into" a connection (on contact surfaces). It is an insulator, made to protect connections from the atmosphere and thus avoid corrosion. Make you connection, then put the dielectric grease Over it.
@JamitinThereRepair
@JamitinThereRepair 2 ай бұрын
That is an excellent point. I worked at a starter rebuilder for several years and we coated all our connectors with regular wheel bearing grease because at the time the electric grease wasn't popular. It's true you probably will get a better connection without it between the two surfaces, but it does not take much pressure to overcome that issue. I'm sure. The torque I put on the screw definitely scraped away enough of The dielectric grease to not make much of an electrical issue. I just hope it does what it's supposed to and prevent corrosion from creeping until the connection. Putting it directly on the connection is the best way for that to happen. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the comment. I should have probably mentioned that in the video.

Those are called joist hangers and they are sold by the size of lumber. The fence had 2x4 supports so I bought 2x4 joist hangers. A friend of mine several years later told me I should have gotten a 2x6 hanger for the bottom. That way you slide the bottom of the fence and then the top second when they are all the same size it is kind of crazy. Thanks for watching and I appreciate the comments

I would use a 2X6 hanger on the bottom and a 2X4 hanger on the top. It will make slipping it in way easier. I also saw a fence with J hooks on the outer edge that would make the post distance less of a problem. Thanks for watching.
