Hi cher, I have a question. For the first question, Each of them consumes about 20 kg of bamboo a day....., why is "bamboo" not "bamboos"?. Thank you!
@ChersEnglishTuition10 күн бұрын
Good question! It’s because ‘bamboo’ is considered uncountable here so it cannot have an ‘s’. Keep your questions coming :)

Usually, when it is about to rain, people go inside for shelter. However, in this case it is unusual because the narrator is searching for a broom instead of seeking shelter.
@ChersEnglishTuitionАй бұрын
Good try. However, the first part of your response has no relation to the quote (nothing in the text talks about going indoors). You could try to link shelter to using a tool that's equivalent to a broom.

for this part 10:20 can one of the details be 'wiping ice cream from the babies chin' suggests that the weather was so hot, a cold snack like ice cream was needed to refresh children. OR SOMETHING LIKE THAT? 😭😭
@ChersEnglishTuition2 ай бұрын
Not really. The reason is because it could be the babies don’t know how to eat ice cream and end up making a mess. The detail itself doesn’t specifically tell us about the weather and that this cold snack was needed to refresh them. Hope that answers your question. Keep up the good work :)

Hi cher,can answer for exercise 3 be Harsh Tone
@ChersEnglishTuition2 ай бұрын
I would say harsh is not really the best answer here. If you google the meaning of harsh, it refers to something that is jarring or severe. However, there’s nothing in the text to tell us that her words were harsh. Good try though. Keep up the good work :)

Hi! For the question about ways to relax after school, do we have to relate being busy with being stressed? Can busy mean that we were out with friends, out doing a hobby, etc?
@ChersEnglishTuition3 ай бұрын
Good question. No, you do not need to relate being busy with being stressed, but you do need to be careful when talking about being busy such as doing a hobby, since hobbies are supposed to usually help you relax.

Hi teacher how's mine? Studying in a cafe doesn't appeal to me as I need a quiet time for better focus . Moreover, Cafes tends to play music that could also affect my concentration as I am someone who is easily distracted . Also I might bumped into friends and that could lead to endless chatters . Being in my own space- like my own room-appeals to me, as I could easily focus and its more conducive for studying .And as and when I need a break, I could easily walk to my kitchen and make myself a cup of coffee for a much needed caffeine boost, and have a quieter break before resuming my studies. Lastly, being in my own preferred environment would better enhanced my focus, as opposed to being in a public Cafe that could potentially distract my studies.
