For there to be that much accumulated crabgrass there had to be lawn care failures starting long before this re-treatment, that lawn is the product of years of mistakes and improper care.

0.5 inch bermuda, no dirt here. bermuda does not need to be 3 inches
@underdogspraying5 күн бұрын
@@DallasLawnGuy it depends on your mowing frequency. If you’re mowing every 3 to 7 days then .5 inch works well. Most residential homeowners have a lawn guy mowing every 10 to 14 days, Obviously Bermuda will be way higher than .5 inch by that time. So to not brown the lawn, those decks need to be raised. I mowed for 14yrs. The ,5 inch doesn’t work on a bi-wkly mowed lawn. Thank you!! However I’ll be doing the .5 inch on my lawn. I’ll definitely take tips from your videos. Your lawn looks great

Thanks fam! At the moment hopefully the Celsius & Quinchlorac can get it seeing we just noticed it. However we're so late in the season that if that doesn't work, in the fall, the glyphosate will clean it up and hopefully keep it at bay. We also switch over to pre-emergent in August, Simazine through November. Prodiamine through March 2025

What is the height of cut to keep bermuda looking good and healthy?
@underdogspraying16 күн бұрын
Typically Bermuda can be as low as 1.5 to 2” considering you cut it at least once a week. If every 2 weeks I would cut it at 3.5 to 4”. Remember not to cut off more than 1/3 of an inch so you don’t get down to the brown part of the lawn.

Do you get any burn from 46-0-0? How soon do you have to water after the app? Great videos!
@underdogspraying21 күн бұрын
@@steved.5628 The window to apply quick release fertilizer is from April to late May. That’s when the lawn is actively growing and the temperatures aren’t too hot. In June we shift to slow release so we don’t burn the lawn. The 46-0-0 we apply is a water soluble granular that we mix in our tank. It’s for the most part already dissolved when applied. You don’t have to water in. Watering doesn’t hurt but it doesn’t require watering in since it’s already dissolved. Thank you!! And thanks for watching!!

Which spray nozzles do you use on the Lesco gun between foliar and non foliar apps?
@underdogspraying21 күн бұрын
@@sj7601 We’re using a 1.5gpm blue nozzle on my son’s set up. On my gun we’re using a 2.0gpm yellow nozzle. Blue nozzle is mainly for the lawns that are clean and the yellow nozzle is for the lawns that are somewhat new and are just getting started on our program. It may take more to get it under control so the 2gpm nozzle will do the trick better than the 1.5gpm. We run those nozzles period, foliar or non foliar. It depends on the condition which set up will be hitting that lawn though. Great question!!!
@sj760120 күн бұрын
@@underdogspraying So the blue nozzle works just fine for foliar apps (like post emergent weed control) if using a surfactant? I'm a diyer and was just curious what the pros use. I recently purchased the Lesco blue nozzle for my flow zone and love it! But I've only used it for non foliar (because I assumed the bigger droplets would cause it to not stick as well to the blades).
@underdogspraying19 күн бұрын
@@sj7601 it works good either way. It kind of boils down to the time of year. In the summertime when we use any nozzle, we’re always mindful of the surfactant. For example, I don’t have any in the tanks at all because the weather is too hot for it. In the summertime, the pores are open on the lawn and the surfactant makes the chemicals more potent. The nozzles are measured on the gallons per minute per thousand square feet that you’re covering and amount you’re putting down. Water soluble granules breakdown or you can mix them fine enough for all nozzles. Just a tip
