I finally had a chance to sit in an xpedition at my local dealership. I found it comfortable . I am 6’1’’ . Maybe the only change I would want is to add a seat cushion to straighten out the back rest. I am use to my can am defender upright seating. Nice idea on the aluminum 👍.

Thanks, I have had them in for a little bit now and done some riding in the timber on our property and on the roads around our area. I am happy with them so far; my kids say they can see better when they are driving it so that's a plus too. I am about 5' 10" ish but I prefer to sit lower, this riser isn't too terribly high. The real test will be in a couple weeks when I have an 83-year-old farmer in my machine, see how it is for him to get in and out, and another friend is 6'6" see how he fits in there with the risers.

Do it hold a lot of heat in the inside?

No it does not, the Air conditioning system works really well in this. I live in Central IL where it gets pretty hot and very humid. Yesterday was mid 90's real temp with 100% humidity. I did some fencing along our property line about 4pm and the A/C had no problem at all cooling the inside off and keeping up easily with any ambient heat.

I am not a terrorist, so I don't have a use for one of those.

You should mount some pod lights on the back of your cab to see when backing up in the dark

I am considering that, I don't do a ton of riding at night but on the occasions that I do it would be nice to have them.

Just buy a Jeep already

I have had jeeps, everything from CJ 7's to TJ's. This stock suspension machine is far more capable than any relatively stock jeep I have had or ridden in. If I wanted a jeep I would have bought one.

Nice machine! with that much seat riser is it hard to buckle or unbuckle the seat belt? Thanks

I don't use the seat belts, I bought a seat belt blank to put into the buckle and get around the safety part. I bought 1" Aluminum square tubing today, I am going to make my own risers that are a little shorter and see how that works out.

Get the heavier weights polaris offers. It’s free. Way better. Like way better and no noticeable power change. Your muffler guard will start to peel soon on the bottom right. 800 miles on my xp5. The ride and stereo are unreal

I just did the comfort clutch from Polaris last Friday. I put 33" system 3 tires on it also. these two things along with the sound proofing I have done have made a huge difference. I can't wait to take it to the trails in Northern Wisconsin and see how it does up there. It is great on our property and riding around our area but those are pretty smooth roads, and relatively smooth trails.

Nice work. Does anyone make an aftermarket muffler for these machines? A quieter version? Seems to me like a lot of the noise is muffler noise.

Aftermarket Assassin's makes an exhaust system with a quiet core option. Supposedly makes it quieter. I'm. Ot sure if I want to try that option yet or not, we go to Northern Wisconsin riding the trails and I habe heard they are a little stricter on Modified exhaust systems up there.

I have the XP 2 door Northstar, it's a shame that Polaris didn't do a much better job with the noise. I've clutched mine and it's better, but still working with Speedwerx to improve their kit functionality. I also added quite a bit of sound deadening materials.

I agree, at this price point we shouldn't have to do upgrades to improve the sound. I'm pretty happy with the results I got from my sound deadening. My next steps are to either do the factory clutch rework, or get an aftermarket clutch kit, then get 32" or 33" tires.

@@siliskielandmanagement120 I have 32" Tusk Terrabites. I honestly would just do the free Polaris clutch upgrade, I wouldn't waste money on a kit.

Thank you, I cant take full credit, I saw a similar video on here and since I have a ton of IBC totes figured I could make one for myself. If I were to keep the IBC tote set up, I think I would find an old running gear and put 3 or 4 totes inline on it plumb them in series and put the pump on the end of it so that I could have up to 1100 gallons of water. I think that would be a decent set up for our property and what we need.

You’re going to need a bigger tractor and trailer setup to drag 4 and a half tons of water to the fields.
