I love reading these comments because I was an old school fan. Michael Graves change the misfits for me and still since we’re all grown up now, the graves are will always be better for me. It has more personal meaning to me.

I remember back when The Misfits had an actual vocalist. Wanna hear something funny? At the Frito-Lay plant in Aberdeen, MD we had to do pre-shift stretching, which was a bunch of nonsense. We usually listened to hip-hop and r&b, but I requested ‘Saturday Night’ from Famous Monsters and tricked them into playing it. You should have seen the faces of my coworkers! There was only one other guy on my shift who was a fan, and he started laughing as soon as the song began to play. Good times!

This song has “Dion & the Belmonts” style Doo Wop feel from the late 50’s early 60’s - I can hear Dion singing Teenager in Love when I hear this song. Love This tune a lot. Graves gotta voice man ! Fuhgedda ‘Bout it.

If i never played a guitar before, how long would it take to play this like he does or close to it?

Anywhere from a year to four depending on how much you practice stuff like barre chords and strumming. Singing and playing takes a bit of time though, but when you get a hang with guitar you start to sing with the flow of the guitar. If you want to play an instrument then you should, you only live once so do it right! Live it like you will again. I wouldnt be too unhappy if I got to play guitar for eternity.

Ive been listening to the Misfits for about 2 years or so now and I've always loved Michael's voice better than Danzig. I could only imagine if he were still in the Misfits and how big they could have gotten, really is such a shame

I have a local show tomorrow, I'm doing Scream from the Famous Monster's album, complete with skull makeup, ribcage t-shirt, ripped jeans and platforms. I'll be performing under the stage name Jakki Graves (as an homage to Michale of course). Despite my stage name and appearance it is not my intent to imitate Michale Graves, because that cannot be done, my goal is to take his masterpiece of a song and make it a little bit my own. Seen misfits in late 90’s at blue note in Columbia mo. I got throwed up on stage with em twice and they came out after show sign autographs and gave guitar picks and still one of my fondest memories I always get on KZfaq lookin for old footage of dat show still none😢 also at one point a guy reached up and unplugged Doyle guitar I thought he was gonna come in crowd and kill dude still the most evil look I’ve seen come from a person lol
