There may be more popular Madonna songs (Like a Virgin) There may be more fun Madonna songs (Holiday, Vogue) But this is the BEST one she ever did. For Gen Xers and older, it hits like a sledgehammer! It never fails to bring up longing and sadness. I grew up in the 70s and became an adult in the 80s. It was the best time to be in (other than the 50s perhaps), but those days are gone will never return. THAT is why this song hits so hard.

This song makes me cry I remember my friend tong he was killed by a drunk driver while driving home from school and me and some friends played this song when we graduated after the song was over we all talked about the memories we had of him we invited invited his family to be there we did this in private and they also shared some memories of him as well.R.I.P TONG YOU WILL ALWAYS BW IN OUR MEMORIES.

I haven't seen this movie in a very long time. Hopefully it comes on soon on regular tv. If not I will have to go to Zia records exchange and see if I can buy it from them. I'm sure they have a copy in stock.

I served a long time in prison and when I got out Phoenix Arizona has changed drastically. When I walked by a certain buildings and certain areas I kind of think of this song how things changed. And always remember the memories I had before I had went to prison roaming around central phoenix.

I'm a register volunteer at the gay pride event here in Phoenix arizona. The gay pride directors trying to get Madonna to come out to one of our events. If she does come out, and she sings this song, I'm going to try not to tear up.

When you're under the teenage age, things look so much bigger. When you become a young adult, things become a more perceived reality. Maybe. When you're older, you become aware of changes. There goes my childhood. It may have had it's ups and downs but on the whole, it was good. Forever lost due to development.
