Not an exo-l but exo's monster has one of the most satisfying choreo of all time

Dance of today goes to 1st: Seventeen, 2nd: NCT and 3rd: Stray kids. Dance of all time goes to SHINee

Nowadays, groups have really great, sharp, and clean choreographies. But don't forget that SHINee started the uniqueness and creativity, and INFINITE for synchronization. And most 3rd generation groups started balancing the dance and vocal departments, being able to pull off unique, hard, and synchronized performances while still being able to sing well live (not saying 2nd gen wasn't, but the majority of them were more focused on singing live and rap than having a very hard and synchronized choreography, not a bad thing tho). Hard choreography while still being able to sing live has boomed in the 3rd generation, and I want to mention these groups in no particular order (my criteria are mostly on creativity, control especially in isolated movements, synchronization, and good use of members): SVT, GFRIEND, ASTRO, NCT, EXO, BTS, WANNAONE, GOT7, PENTAGON, and PRISTIN (TWICE, BP, RED VELVET, but only some). If I did not mention a group with great choreos, maybe I do not know them. All the groups I mentioned are my favorite groups DANCE-WISE, but that does not mean that they are my favorites as a group. 3rd generation became the standard in the dance category and song producing, and 2nd gen for vocals. Sadly, famous groups from the 4th and 5th generations are too focused on hard choreos but the vocal department is sacrificed >< I am happy that I started becoming a fan in the 2nd gen (thanks Super Junior, SNSD and 2NE1) and that I was able to see the peak moments of Kpop. The 2nd and the 3rd gens are undeniably the best and the most talented. Sure, groups from the new generations are good (especially AESPA for being all-rounded), but 2nd and 3rd gens really hit differently. If I'm going to pick one group with the best choreography, I'd definitely give that to SEVENTEEN. Sure, not all of their dances are the hardest compared to other groups, especially compared to 4th gen have tons of great choreos (but remember that great choreographies are not just about bigger, complicated, or difficult movements), but most of their choreos have a balance of everything: creativity, synchrony, control, personality, story, balance, good use of the numbers of members, and various or mix of different types of dances. SVT does not only do just one genre, but they have almost everything in their catalog. I have watched the majority of their dance practice videos more than their own music videos (sorry). Their choreography is just pleasing and addicting to watch it feels like watching musical or theatrical performances. Props to them! Seventeen choreos are the absolute best!! Especially since they're of 13 members, when they master synchronization, their choreos will look extremely satisfying to watch. Ofc it only comes with good choreographers and a stable and talented group.

SHINee's choreographies are totally insane. They are or are one of the first group in kpop to emphasize on actual performances i.e singing and dancing together. SHINee was SM's first experimental group along with f(x) and they also invented "kpop dance practice" videos. Sherlock, Everybody and Married to Music were choreographed by choreographer Tony Testa who choreographed many groups for SM and also did choreography for Michael Jackson's final tour. SHINee is revolution!

I would add "Hello" by Treasure. A great match of music, lyrics and choreo. "On" by BTS is absolutely iconic. And my favorite is "Run Bulletproof" by BTS. I can watch any of these over and over and see something new each time.

I agree with number one, but only to an extent. Petitioning or taking other such drastic actions is obviously unnecessary, but it absolutely does suck. As a fellow myday, the enlistment period is kind of the worst. I know we got a string of solo songs and sporadic content here and there, but joining the fandom after Where The Sea Sleeps, the military period screwed me over a bit honestly. You make me is the ONLY comeback from them I’ve been able to experience and I’ve been in the fandom since the end of 2020. And if it wasn’t for the military, Jae wouldn’t be in this weird limbo situation and I wouldn’t have anxiety every time I think about his status as a member. We would’ve been able to get the news, and either find a way to cope with him leaving or we’d celebrate him getting freedom while still having everyone in the group instead of metaphorically holding our breath for two+ years for an answer.
