Wonderful film! So many positives, shame about the lack of wind this year. Hoping to do the Defi in a few years, more practice needed first

Just found a new bucket list entry! Haven't windsurfed for maybe 30 years - I last went on a board when Robbie Nash was giving way to Bjorn Dunkerbeck. How I miss it! I can still feel the joy of carve gybing when I close my eyes... One day maybe...

Nice vid Nico, thank you ! One question : not a wave board, ok. But : Magic Move 100l better choice than Super Ride 102l as a next choice for lake AND ocean sailing for a medium level amateur who loves jumping ? I already jump with S-Ride 113 but need a shorter board for a little stronger wind (25/30 kts). Thanks for your answer !

Man, I have the 120 (v2) and with NCXs on it I was giving proper slalommers a run for their money indeed, if I had to compromise it was the board size, in fact for my costal thermal winds could not go for an 105 (as too small, I weigh 73kg….) but I had to go for the next in line which felt/was kinda too big (120), however NOW, with the new sizes (115, sic) everything falls to perfection, gotta just trade it in and take a spot on 115!! Bytheway fellow windsurfers, it’s all very true, this board literally eats up chops!! Among one of the best boards I ever owned for sure!! PS Ben Severne omage me with a free something for such good feedback/publicity right? Although seriously deserved of course 😜🤙🏻💙 Peace

Hello. I have a series of questions about Defi. Until what day can you sign up for the windsurfing test? Registration is the first day, right? Is it a very hard race? I have an upper-intermediate level. Is a windsurfing race dangerous? Thanks

Das Board sieht kaum benutzt aus, hat aber schon mächtig viele Dellen und Kratzer. Für mich eher teurer Schrott.

Hi Nico, this is our (consumers) opportunity to give the brands proper feedback, well then, I always loved (and owned) JP boards, particularly for their magnificent shape, BUT, compared to most other brands that, nowadays, give either carbon fins stock, or others (don’t wanna list names, sic) even all boxes in carbon, and actual antiskid who doesn’t go away in one season of use, plus, and/or, either with goretex valves, and/or with hex screw heads (because philips head screws are the worst, sic), and,MOST OF ALL, constructed in a way that they don’t delaminate themselves and/or break just by looking at them, I am still talking about compared to other manufacturers that is yep, well, in all honesty I gave up buying JPs altogether, and I did so very reluctantly indeed… I might add that the very last bunch of good JP’ boards might have been those up to 2010s or so, sorry mate I had to say it, pls don’t take it personally, I just wish you can pass this on to whoever runs the brand or whatever, hoping that they will finally up their game accordingly, I am sure I am not alone in feeling this here. peace and keep up the good work,, happy new year bytheway 🤙🏻💙🤙🏻

Hi, good video, thanks!, which PATRIK boom do you use for the small slalom/speed sails?
@BorisRadeleff8 ай бұрын
great explanation! thank you very much. I would like to ask, whether you recommend to sand the AEON foils & mast? If yes, what sanding paper grades are recommended?
@patrikinternational7 ай бұрын
It's not needed or recommended to sand the special final finish of the AEIN foil. If you still wanna do it to gain the last 0.5% for PWA pls remember that sanding the foil will end the factory warranty. Fine sanding the surface and trailing edge can change the feel of the foil according to your special and advanced racing needs. Use 500/1000/2000 or your own sanding concept but use it with caution as wrong sanding will destroy the performance of the original surface forever.
@BorisRadeleff7 ай бұрын
Hi Patrik, thank you very much. Till november I had the CR ans SL-sets by Moses/Sabfoil and have ordered AEON for 2024 :-) So - I will not sand it - congratulations to your big success this sasion with Michele, thank you very much, Boris

Hi, I got an Evo flight IV 5.7 and I rigged it on a TPX100 430, the leech is very loose in the top panel, a little less in panels 2 and 3 but no looseness in panels 4 and 5. Is that normal? Thanks

Sail looks great, as all Severne's do. I've used Severne Turbo's since 2016 (6.0 up to 9.2) and 2 years ago replaced the 8.1 Turbo for a 2022 version of the 8.1. The newer Turbo required a lot more downhaul tension, so much even that I had to buy a Duotone power XT to be able to downhaul it properly. The newer Turbo seemed to have been optimized more towards the high-end of wind range. I remains stable in higher winds than the older ones and feels light while powered. However, underpowered it is a pretty clunky sail and rigging has become more of a hassle, the gear wears down faster because of the high trim-forces (pulley's and rope wear out quickly, camber spacers regularly snap, mast gets grinded by the cambers). Seems the Turbo evolved from a freeride-sail to a more race-oriented sail. Now with the step to Moto, it has become even more race-oriented. Nice if that's what you want, but personally I prefer the old Turbo: an easy-rigging free-rider with 2 cams to stabilize the foil in gusts and lulls. I expected the Turbo will be phased out completely pretty soon now. This, combined with the extremely high pricing of Severne sails and masts, makes it easier for me to switch to another brand after >10 years of Severne.
