Cove is just BAD and I'll explain why! First off ANY system that offers a Key-fob is vulnerable to wireless attacks that can be easily HACKED and your system can be "disarmed" with a simple hack! Strike ONE! Their "protection" plans are vague and lead you into a "false" sense of security - Strike TWO! The last thing is that Cove works with NO other products outside their limited offerings so you are then FORCED to live in that limited eco-system and LACK of features - Strike THREE! Not a good "option" for anyone interested in home security. After having ADT which I would NEVER recommend to anyone this "system" is a FAILURE on so many levels and for the price! MUCH better options out there!

I have a eufy doorbell, camera, and twice in the after midnight a.m. Hours, both times camera was shut off for over two hours… as great as the systems claim to be, I have not yet had any confirmation that these home surveillance systems can override someone with the ability to shut your surveillance cameras off before committing a crime in your home

he is totally paid by simplisafe for this review and absolutely lieing about the camera quality, the camera quality is worse than ring and arlo, also simplisafe only has a 140 degree viewing angle which is lower than ring or arlo with 160 degree and 180 degree viewing angles, I have used all three, Also, the outdoor cameras do not connect to wifi easily, you'll have to purchase a wifi extender and connect the outdoor cameras to the extender wifi to make them work, they just won't pair, if you don't trust me then just search for this online

Got a quote yesterday for $100 a month and was told that ill get a 7day trial free of charge if dont like it can cancel and they will come back to take the equipment they supposed to come by to install but right after they had left i call them that i changed my mind and dont want it.

This system is no good costly waiting for a technican to come out for over three. My super is still able to bypass my camera and enter my apartment.

The installation, customer service, and uninstall were the worst experiences I've had with a company. First, they drilled holes into my brand new door frame. They drilled holes and stapled wires all along my brand new drywall without telling me or covering it up. They showed up late and took 9 hours to install. Left a massive mess and my house in disrepair. When I called to have them fix it, they told me I had to pay $100 for a tech to come out even though I was sold on paying an extra $7 a month to NOT have to pay the fee for a tech to come out. I talked to multiple reps over the phone who barely understood what Vivint was, could not communicate english very well, and had horrible attitudes. I then read about all the lawsuits and other terrible experiences with this company, they're not even accredited by the BBB. I cancelled my service and was promised they would patch all the holes up that they made and fix what they had installed. The tech came out and said they don't ever do that. He also left a massive mess of staples, papers, plastic, boxes, everywhere. Then, when I told him we were buying a different system he offered to come install that for me. I pulled out the thermostat and he immediately said, "I don't know how to do that." Right after propositioning me to install my system for me. So, now I'm left with holes in my house, a massive mess, and more bills to pay for contractors to come fix what Vivint couldn't. I can't stress enough, DO NOT BUY FROM VIVINT. It's not worth the headache or hassle. Terrible customer service, horrible techs, which give zero comfort that if something were to happen that this system would actually work.

ADT is the best. it is expensive but less expensive then your house you pay for. ADT work with google. So from the begging take right decision, if you want to secure your home professionally do it right from the beginning. it my thought.

I am a little confused. Do you have to pay the $10 a month self-monitoring fee? I thought this system did not require a fee once you buy it.

Vivint is horrible. Especially for a business. For my home it's fine. But for my work it's pretty much garbage as a business owner.

Vivint is the worse, super expensive. They tell you that it’s one payment a month of $66.67 and then you ending up paying more. They have contracts with Fortiva is a loan that have to pay separated. Ending up paid almost $400 a month for the service and the equipment. They don’t explain to you, make as simple to sing the contract. And if you want to cancel you can’t. I have a nightmare with them. I have problems with the system too.

Ring is much better overall given their yearly pricing and the WIDE variety of cameras/sensors offered. You FAILED to mention the Ring PRO hub option that allows an internet connection over it's cellular backup connection for ANY device that NONE of these systems even offer! FAIL, FAIL, and again FAIL! I've used Ring for almost 4yrs now and does everything it's supposed to with the LOWEST yearly cost for 24/7 monitoring over ANY other option and has QUICK response times in the even if a break in! I upgraded to the PRO hub option and IMO is WAY better than other offerings and works seamless with Alexa. ADT has always SUCKED for being WAY too expensive for the little features offered and has now partnered with Google which is strike THREE - Google SUCKS anymore! Ring also offers battery pack add-ons to further extend your protection in the event of a total power loss due to storms/bad weather which will keep your home "connected" for a WAY longer period of time over ALL other options in a no-power situation. SimpliSafe is is the 2nd best option but is WAY too limited and BASIC in every way and charges WAY more per month for a "robust" setup! MAN! You missed the mark in SO many ways on every system and are uneducated in general! I would NEVER subscribe to a channel lacking SO much knowledge and common sense.

LOL! $20 a month for system that had NOTHING! How much were you PAID to post this crap! Now if you wanna add ANYTHING to this system you have to schedule and PAY for installation tech which is $175 or more a pop and have someone WALK all over your home and KNOW where all your most expensive things exist for a simple door sensor addition! NO THANKS! Not to mention if there is a problem with your system you have to schedule an appointment that could take over a WEEK or more at the ADDED service fee! and your home is BLIND in the meantime. The monthly fees are WAY more than $40 a month and then some if the is alarm triggered it ALL depends on the response time of your local police/fire REGARDLESS how much you pay per month! As with ANY system Vivant has MANY flaws and shortcomings. When it works as it's supposed to it's good but you PAY the PRICE per year and per month. TOO expensive for what you get overall!

Get Armorax instead. Wouldn’t recommend SimpliSafe I don’t like their equipment, Armorax and other big name companies have 2GIG and Qolsys panels, not this Chinese junk.

How do you justify Vivint’s software code forcing Gen 1 cameras customers having to delete your 6- GEN 1 cameras or else you cannot upgrade to even 1 -14 GEN 2 pro cameras with the same Smart panel. I spent $399.00 on 6 -GEN 1 cams 3 outdoor & 3 indoor. Got the smart panel and now vivint says I have to delete and trash those 6 (4K) w/ Audio Gen 1 cameras off my system and basically throw away my investment or I cannot even add 1 Gen 2 pro camera. But they did allow me to upgrade to the new Gen 2 door bell and they out my Gen 1 doorbell on the back door but you cannot do this with the cameras. Something is fishy here and this to me is a rip off scam. I will admit vivint cameras are great. The audio and pictures videos DVR work great but telling me to trash my 6 -$399.00 gen 1 cameras is insane all gen 1 customers who cannot afford to burn money and those of us who are not rich enough to just throw away and trash a almost new 4K camera with audio Gen 1 cameras is just insane. Vivibt is scamming their customers they are learning from Apple. Greedy company. I have been with Vivint’s from day one. The cost dies not warrant the greedy practices. They could have wrote the new code software to allow all gen 1 camera customers to keep their gen 1 cameras and add gen 2 pro to their current set up. And I have the latest smart panel. This is highway robbery organized crime. They wrote the new code to force us to trash our gen 1 investment. That’s stupid.

Arlo is JUNK

We had a great experience with VIVINT.. Far better than a company called MULT-LINK...

I have Vivint, its OK but often has frequent issues. My ability to remotely enter User door codes wouldn't work for over a year. Vivint support said they were working on it for a year and a bit. The mobile iOS app has software issues constantly. Right now I cant remotely adjust the temperature on my hardwired NEST thermostats. After calling tech support they said they are working on it, no idea when or if this will ever get fixed. I have had one of my Outdoor Camera Pro's go offline 20-30 times in a day with no explanation or resolution to the issue. If I had to do it all again I would go with Wyze cameras and accessories over Vivint.
