there’s an implication i didn’t notice the first time that if he found out it was canned, he’d hurt her that’s pretty scary to me, though not in the same way a doll commercial is scary

I was in Hurricane Celia, in Tom Brown Jr High, and lived on Belfast St, and my dad was a Sgt with the Texas Department of Public Safety on Ayers St. we rode out the storm in our house. It was frightening. My first hurricane ever. I had just turned 14 years old in July, that year.

Back in the days when KPRC had a GREAT news team: Doug Johnson with the weather, and Ron Stone with the news. I had the great honor to have met both of them on numerous occasions, and they were a classy, more professional team over what Channel 2 has today.
